As some people have already pointed out, the writing is rather weak, especially in the science department, but the visuals and general design still make the movie quite nice, especially for something done without a colossal production cost. Nice job on the set, Joel!

If I’m being honest, the cinematography, music, and of course set design were great, and the overall concept is neat, but the writing felt kinda generic, with a bunch of overused sci-fi phrases and cliches sprinkled throughout, making it hard to connect with any of the characters.

I’d give it a 7/10. The cinematography and sound along with the prop and set design is great, but the writing is subpar at best. The actress did a pretty good job, but as with the writing, it’s subpar. There’s a lot of overused cliches and ideas thrown together, but overall it’s not bad.

2:34 There was a chance to add some 'unexpected' thrill after watching the footsteps in the snow with the flashlight. Strange noise and after this focus on an enemy or dead people with the flashlight. Scary moment and runnng back in panic to the station. After this knocking on the door or strange sounds when back inside while using the 'phone', to 'alarm' the fear and the need to escape, explains the need to escape. When she tells the operator she is the only one that survived, as viewer you can imagine what is going on. Without something like this there is no connection with the outside part and the need to escape is just a description of an event. You put a lot of effort in the looks however when the story is not that strong, it just a video with nice shots. First pay attention to the story, instead of focus on the looks. A story is why books sell so well because it is a good story.

wow.. I mean, *wow* - the indoor location alone is pretty good..but your film has some truly remarkable elements to it!! Overall, I'm really impressed! The budget was obviously an issue, but the whole team *really* did well to work around it. The digital and live sets are nothing short of amazing..the props are *fantastic* , as are the costumes..the funnel representation of the wormhole is visually stunning and spot on, and the other related effects are breath-taking..the dialogue weaves a lovely and fantastic narrative, with the editing really giving a beautiful flow and a gentle pace that fully allowed me to immerse myself - like settling the soul into a nice warm bath. And the cinematography/photography..? It was a bit compensatory (given the acting ability of the lead), but was often like reading a love letter from the film' creators, to the audience - I almost felt like a voyeur. As for the directing - it really got the most out of the actors, esp the lead. I bet some of it took a few takes! The monologues they gave really allowed them to play to their strengths - some nifty use of resources there. On top of all this, the production values were really high. I only have one gripe, if I may, and that's to do with the lack of advisors for the computer terminology, and for some of the science - ie, reducing the power of the sun to that extent (or collapsing it) would have caused an explosion that would have destroyed all the inner planets...unless it was done over many hundreds of thousands of years. Whether the innacuracies were due to deficiencies in the original story, or were because of the screenwriting..? I don't know..but it should have been spotted at some stage in production. Tbh, with some more input, the writing could have been much better. Thanks for making this film..it was a pleasure to watch.

Cool Visuals and acting...but the premise doesn't make much sense to me. So yeah: The concept of harvesting a star's energy does actually exist, but why would you use your own star for it??? And if you do (maybe you can't travel far enough to Alpha Centauri), wouldn't you first elaborate how to maintain enough sunlight for Earth? Or maybe invent a "heating" system for the planet, so that we don't all just die??? I mean if you have the technology to harvest the sun's energy, you should also have the technology for that... Maybe I'm just too nitpicky^^

Okay, the bluescreen of the spaceship is not perfect, but you tried techniques like the one were used by Douglas Trumbull and it works. The Gloomy tone is a good match. The story is short but you nailed the message. I just regret that KZbin is a big pile of shit for compressing the video quality. No need for research on how to create a star, its easy, just get the correct amount of elements you want and its own density will start the reaction. Problem is where are you gonna get all those elements? You would have you get them from a nebula and if your going to do that then its far easier to just create another planet around another star.
