Super Skrull is by no means my favorite villain, but he's been in some pretty awesome stories, and that's why I like him. Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) and Spiderman in Marvel Team Up vs. Super Skrull? Just awesome. His next appearance in Alpha Flight against Sasquatch? Excellent story and sort of continuation of his story. John Byrne wrote that one, I think.

utterly disgusted with how marvel treated starlin over the years. they gave him a tiny sandbox to write in but never gave his stories the canon weight they deserved. i'm glad ewing gave him a nod in ultimates2, indirectly mentioning the warlock tribunal. i wanted the warlock tribunal to be canon, it had so many great story-telling potentials.

when they switched him out for the female it was like the replacement of aunt viv in the fresh prince.The colorscheme of this suit has the exact same mental effect on you as supermans suit.its like they where desighned by the same person.i would love to see the day where justlike in star trek we can just walk around in suits like these and it would just be normal.and not low quality material remakes but suits that are an excact replica of the comic.

The copyright did not lapse. The issue was the loss of the trademark due to non use. That is why DC can continue to have their own character but cannot advertise using the trademark Captain Marvel.

This is a comment about the last few sentences: It's not that this would've been a need for Prof X or etc, but that Marvel "tightened the ship" since the 70's and understood that cross marketing would make more $$$, that is until it was abused. Then stories went astray with "wtf the avengers are doing xyz and F4 are not helping while X are fighting morlocks?!" Simplification, I know. But now they are doing the niche thing again. I have NEVER been a DCU reader, and am enjoying Dark Knights Metal for all it's worth. Sure, not the best Bats story, but still good (and I despise Bats and Wolvie..... DESPISE......) Does this make sense, Rob-Corps?! Or am I a lone wolf?
