I have a Liberty Cosmic and it is actually awesome. It's a little on the long side, but still awesome (said no woman ever). I also have a Wheaton Arms threaded barrel in a Glock 19 and it has done wonderfully shooting all types of ammo. I wasn't sure about it at first, mostly because I wanted to get a factory Glock threaded barrel but just couldn't find one in stock, but now I'm glad I bought the WA.

The Mystic and their Cosmic (.45 cal) make excellent choices for your first can. They can be used on so many platforms. The Cosmic is only like 9oz too.

I love my Mystic X! It's not the most innovative, modern, and is probably not the best 9mm can, but it sounds great on my Shadow 2!

I have a Liberty Cosmic that does not like the threaded (aftermarket) barrel for my Glock 17. I tried 2 different pistons with the same result. It doesn’t cycle. Doesn’t matter the ammo type. I purchased a Grey Ghost barrel and tried again. Works with 115gr supers, but again doesn’t work with subsonic ammo. Liberty wants me to send the suppressor, but realistically all the should need is the booster housing, spring and pistons. Which I’m willing to send. I’m not warm and fuzzy about putting a can in the hands of the usual carriers.

A Liberty Cosmic was my first can, it's basically just a slightly upgraded Mystic X. It seemed like I'd be able to use the Cosmic on multiple of my rifles in a QD-like fashion but the adapters are expensive and make the whole thing bulky. I actually just ordered a SOCOM RC2 for my AR pattern rifles, and Tavor. I guess I'll try out the Cosmic on my 1911 now that I have a threaded barrel for it but I don't really see myself using the can a lot. It's nice that it can be used on so many calibers and has many adapter solutions for it, but I don't think it's as easy to use among my firearms as I thought it would be. Maybe it's just me but I find suppressors are kinda confusing. There's so many fricking adapters and attachment methods, and suppressor construction methods, that it makes my head spin. I think in the future I'm going to get suppressors that are more finely focused on particular use cases instead of something that might do everything (they're expensive so that was my thought getting it).

I have to agree with you on all of the suppressor crap out there. Nearly 20 years ago when I got into suppressors, there were only a handful of manufacturers, and it was a much simpler time. Your thought on picking more specific cans to the caliber and platform is definitely the way to go. But for someone who is looking to purchase one or two suppressors and call it good, the Cosmic, Mystic, and Infinity are great choices depending on how large of a bullet diameter they want to shoot.

Prices have gone down on the mystic x. When I bought mine it was $899 and NO mounts included. I had to pay a extra $120 for a standard 1/2-28. I feel cheated. 😢

I did the same thing. Then a couple years later bought the cosmic and another mystic x for much cheaper. Then sent my first mystic back to have it upgraded to the infinity x. 😁 No damn different in my opinion. They got me on that one..... I think it was $450 to have it upgraded. I'm so dumb😂😆😂

I've got a AAC7.62SDN6 and it's got great sound suppression, but weight a ton. Wish I would have bought the TI version to reduce the weight. Not a big deal on shorter rifle...

I use that poor man's suppressor it's called CCI quiet if you need anything quieter than those are I mean shooting those out of my little 22s bolt action rifle my dauthers Daisy Red Rider is louder than the CCI quite thanks for the video scooch

You mentioned putting a metal sleeve on the boaster after removing the spring for a carbine. Why wouldn’t you use the low profile or the stainless steel fba on a carbine? I don’t fully understand the reasoning or purpose.

None, you can service/clean it if it can be disassembled, like most pistol and rimfire cans. You just can't replace parts, have to send it back to manufacturer.

Even with a suppressor once that round breaks the sound barrier you're still going to get that noise like he did shooting the 115 grain but when the round was going 850 ft per second the suppressor was doing a good job until they build them super quiet like you see on an old James Bond movie I'll pass
