Over a 100 lb. Yes, you can do alone with transom wheels. We plan to install one this summer. Check their site for more info 😊newportvessels.com

I have the Catalina with transom wheels. No problems launching by myself. Without wheels you will need two people.

Hi. What speed do you reach when using the 5hp motor and only one person? Also, do you know the weight of the bag that holds the boat and the bag that holds the floor pieces? (I want an inflatable boat that is light enough to lift into a small airplane, and separate bags that weigh 50 lbs or less would be ideal.)

Not sure about the speed but it’s definitely faster when driving alone and more stable with two…perhaps about 5-7 knots. It weighs together at 160 lb. Depending on your build, the video shows that I was able to carry the boat on my back. I would say 90/70 perhaps. You also need to be very patient on totally drying it before folding it compactly. For next summer, our plan is to purchase transom wheels for easy transport especially by one person. Hope this info helps. BTW, anything above 9 ft boat including dhingy will require dmv permit. There is a smaller version -Dana, which would be lighter and 5hp would run faster.

Congrats! You need to first follow the break in procedure before you do full max speed. You may start counting the break in hours from home…Make sure the motor is submerged in water per manual…Enjoy!

We bought the vessel at Amazon for about 1200 and the Honda BF5 at a local sports store here for about 1100 in 2021. Now we’re seeing them at approx 1400 each.
