Today's inflation is a result of corporate avarice, not only problems with the supply chain. We know that the money obtained by the higher prices isn't being transmitted along the supply chain since businesses are reporting record profits. More pricing result in increased revenue for businesses, which stays with them and goes into their pockets. We can rule out supply-related inflation because of this. If your stocks are extremely weak, now is an excellent opportunity to take a battered 401k and convert it to a Roth. Then, your Roth will be tax-free, and you will just have to pay taxes on the substantially reduced current values.

Mike - I finally had to get involved in politics after 78 years of staying informed but staying out of the arena. I have become an activist and have about 50 volunteers working on changing county, city and school board elected officials. I frequently display that debt clock at both the county and city government levels. They all acknowledge the problem, but no one wants to be the first one to stop taking the "free" money as if they did the next guy would just get their share. So human nature being what it is, I am afraid it will take a "hard reset" to our financial system, which will not be good for anyone. I like the analogy of playing musical chairs - where will you be when the music stops? Your suggestions about being prepared are the best we can do. One of my best teachers in highschool was my Econ teacher and he made the same exact comparison using his 1974 highboy and very went as far as to compare the fuel cost of that truck to a modern truck in hours of labor. Most people don’t really grasp inflation until someone demonstrates it that way. Oh! And if anybody thinks that a 1970 ford pickup was more expensive than that you’re wrong! Nice to hear some common sense. Couldn't agree more with people getting along with each other. Just because someone else has a different idea/opinion doesn't mean they/you are right or wrong. Just my 2 cents worth!

Appreciate this video and for you doing it regardless the back lash you may receive. There are so many people out there that get their information from the main stream media and have no clue. This video may hit them like a ton of bricks!! Thank you.

Great video Mike! I’m almost finished with the book myself and it really connects a lot of dots in which has been going on for a long time. Pretty sad, but I think people are starting to wake up finally, including myself. Love your Vids!

Loved, loved, loved this video ❤❤❤ Mike, been watching this channel since nearly the start. And if nothing else, anyone can tell from those videos how level headed you are. I whole heartily agree about the reckless spending and it has been going on for many years. Too much $$$ has been doled out to those that don’t really need it. All those stimulus checks, some going to households with $190K income was a big mistake. The money should have been prorated based on income across the board, I.e., bigger checks for smallest incomes with a much smaller cutoff threshold. Too many people either put the windfall into their savings or paid down debt. No help to the economy. People need to think about the future and not saddle our grand/children with all that debt. Good idea about buying land!

Mike and family …. Spot on. Thank you for stepping up to the plate and laying it out to the American People. A good read some time is the “ obituary of common sense”… thank you for just stating the facts

You are right but did a new truckbin 1970 have backup cameras abs how many miles did that truck last. What was average size of a new home in 1970 and what amenities did it have. What regulations did home builders and car manufacturers have to deal with in 1970? How difficult was it to collect rent in 1970 and how easy was it to get rid of a bad tenant. I agree printing more money is part of it more there is more to it than that.

i agree with your take on our country's fiscal situation. And love that stove and how comforting the fire looks.

Totally agree with what you said about the cause of inflation and the need for those in power to divide each of us, which keeps the focus off of them. Living debt free is our goal and something we have been working towards for several years, as well as having multiple streams of income.

You are so right on the current situation. Living in states that aren't into high spending and not living in cities may help as well.

Great video Mike! Totally agree with your sentiment about the division among us. Instead of attacking each other we should spend more time holding politicians accountable. No accountability whatsoever in many cases.

Everything you said in this video is 100% correct. I'm impressed with the fact that you are not afraid to speak about it publicly. Don't worry about the negative comments and emails. They only wish to slow the spread of facts and truth.
