As a former charter broker and former charter pilot this is app is definitely highlights the 'sleezy' side of charter brokering. The app is selling 'empty' leg or repositioning legs that the plane would normally be a non revenue flight or leg. The charter world is constantly canceling flights because they only serve the true paying customer or their owner, not some 'sleezy' app. This was always the problem with booking empty legs, they seldom pan out and I seldom ever sold one.

Even worse, if you read their faqs on their website, one says "What happens if more than one person uses their priority?" and the answer is that it goes to the first person to buy it. Hey Noel, 1st of all, thank you for all the videos. I'm a aviation enthusiast and I appreciate the content you show. In regards to this company, it is 💯 a scam. Just because you were able to finally fly with them after spending like $2000, doesn't mean you can't call them a scam. It is not harsh to say that. Also, you mentioned this being more like a lottery. Lottery never promises to win. It's chances. This on the other hand, it's a service. So not a lottery. It is a scam. I appreciate you showing us all this video about this company. Life is too short to be nice to these people running these kinds of companies and think they can get away with this. Scam. Period. Again, big fan of your channel. Keep it up!!

Some sport car rentals "clubs" try to do similar kind of thing. 1. Pay membership 2. availability is none.
@bradmikkelsen896027 күн бұрын
In the EU, most jurisdictions, this would certainly be very close to basic fraudulent behaviour (on the criminal side). You simply cannot charge someone 1k for „Membership“ without providing any services for that membership, even though Noel CLEARLY tried.

Agreed they should at least offer a lounge service or something if flights are that unreliable
@77smp27 күн бұрын
I would not have been making such a positive vlog if they'd cancelled my flight on the way to the airport! 😡
@jonc440327 күн бұрын
@@ritah8415 But the "lounge" is essentially going and hanging out at the FBO - which you can do at most airports for free.

Vault probably has loopholes in very fine print in the middle of the contract that gets them out of having to provide flights. They force the users into arbitration instead of a courtroom. That's how it usually goes.

I hope this video and sponsorship covers the "loss" on the "not so much a scam" you experienced. Wow a flight from HOU to IAH....faster than taking I-69 or I-45 for sure!

From the moment your Uber dropped you off at Hobby Airport to the moment you stepped out of Bush Airport, I wonder which would be faster: taking that HondaJet or driving a Honda Accord.

I can't imagine who would be interested in this (non)service. It not only costs you $2,000, for which you receive nothing but the vague possibility of a private jet trip if the stars align correctly, but it also costs you countless dollars in often unusable regular airline tickets to actually accommodate your travel needs.

Thank you Noel for "taking one for the team" to provide this public service. I think you and most people we know would not normally buy in to this type of "exclusivity". The blatant up-sale attempts were insulting. Regardless, this is great content. I wanted to also mention how heart warming it was when your son immediately responded to your offer with "yes". Heart breaking watching you have to tell him the bad news. Your son took it like a champ! I look forward to our next adventure. Vicariously, Yours.

I recall a similar service from years back. I think what makes me classify them as a scam is the advertisement. Had they advertised "a remote possibility to get on a uselessly short ferrying flight from difficult to reach airport to another like it", it would've been a fair game. But the advertisement had two cheery people explaining how they're flying all over the country constantly, giving an impression you're just jumping for a business jet to another all the time like catching a local bus. This was obviously not the case, thus I'd ranking it somewhere between false advertising and flat out scam.

Because that private jet was needed for a full paying customer to leave from George Bush airport. Get it yet? it's a repositioning flight, this company routinely move planes around the USA for their real business of selling private jet flights to high paying customers and are/were attempting to make money out of these repositioning flights through this app.

On the upside, you can cancel your Southwest flight without penalty and take it a credit for a future flight. It doesn't have an expiration date, so at least your $800 for Southwest is not lost.

I’ve seen videos about the HondaJet and it seems a brilliant design. I’d love to take a flight on one, but a proper flight. I assume that the bumpy ride on the ground is from tiny wheels… but then wouldn’t any small airplane have that problem? Did Honda mess that up? The position of the engines seems a very clever solution to problems with noise and cabin space… I got to ride on a Learjet a few years ago, but it was an air ambulance and I was accompanying a very sick relative. About a 1000-mile flight.
