Only thing is I didn’t listen to the warning in the 80’s movie Airplane, I ate the fish. Had an upset stomach for 4 days in Prague. Besides that, the FA’s and Chef were really nice. The food was amazing( besides the fish) and the seats were great. I did the Stop Over in Istanbul on the way back to te US. Got 3 nights in the Bosphorus Hilton for free. Affordable Business class with excellent service. IMO. 787 Dreamliner both long hauls. The flight from FCO to IST was good too. I think it was an A320. BC seats were really good and so was the food too. Had a nice 3 hour talk with my row mate from Uzbekistan over 4 glasses of red wine :)

Flew with Turkish twice to Havana, both times in economy. First time on A330 and it was great, felt almost like premium economy. Then they switched to B787 and it was terrible in terms of legroom, shoulder room and the shape of the seat: it had a winged headrest, but the wings wouldn't stay up to support the head. The flight attendant told me that that's the way they are made. However food and service were ok. both times and they were on time. The price was also reasonable. Besides this, Turkish is one of very few airlines where 2 suitcases are included in economy fare (at least on long haul), which is of vital importance if you are traveling to Cuba and you have family or friends there.

Just came off a business class flight(s) starting at JFK to Istanbul then onto KL with Turkish airlines. I think the comments Noel makes are fair, the A350 is a nice aircraft and the seats are good. I took the 777 from JFK to istanbul and had the A330 from KL to istanbul on the way up. Those interiors were much more dated feeling but with the important flat bed. The crew experience was not great for a premium cabin and i expected more really. My widebody experience with TK has been on the B77W and B789 for long-haul. The 777 has the old 2-3-2 business class, which has no privacy but comfortable lie-flat sleep. The 787 has the same more private seats as the A350, I just don't like the panel that obstructs the window view. I got to fly the TK A359 short-haul from Istanbul to Tel Aviv. The 2-2 seating on the A21N is more modern and more comfortable than the old style, I got to experience that on an Istanbul - Addis Ababa hop. I agree with your view of the TK lounge. For me, it's always too crowded. The food is good but could use more variety. The overall onboard TK on-demand cuisine is tasty but needs more choice along the lines of Qatar's on-demand dining. And yes, cabin crews in TK are robotic. I had Star Alliance Gold status at the time, and it would be nice to have a more exclusive lounge with top-tier status.

Have flown Turkish in business on 777, 787 and A350. Seats more comfortable on 777 though open and less private. Seats on 787 and A350 ok but less comfortable. I have found Turkish fares about 20 % cheaper than most carriers for trans Atlantic flights with usually equal or better soft product. Istanbul somewhat chaotic to transfer but beats Heathrow,CDG or Frankfurt. Never had issue with seating at Istanbul lounge.

ah thank you man you did it! I’ve been wanting to see you try Turkish for a while, I’ve done around 12 flights with them. I’ve done their 777 business class and it wasn’t awful but the a350 looks miles ahead
