@@paigestephenson8968 actually you’re right about what you see compared to what we see but in reverse, I live in Australia and I have many friends who live in America and they will send me things that are on the news over there that’s apparently happening here in Australia, yet I’ve never seen any of it, it was mainly when Covid first started and the USA news was reporting about the government removing people from their homes, none of that was true and I hadn’t seen or heard anything about that, we actually have our State Government election today ( Saturday 26th October). I really don’t believe much of what gets reported on the news, most of it glorified and not the full facts and the truth. Greetings from Queensland Australia 🇦🇺 😊

Everything is so amped up now. It's like there's not a space for being normal if you're in the public eye or even talking about people in the public eye. Sort of the "no publicity is bad publicity" kind of a thing? We see it on TikTok and everywhere else--outlandish stuff and crazy predictions or rage bait gets tons of views. I agree it would be really nice to return to normalcy (as it used to be) where it wasn't so ramped up emotional all the time. It's at the point where some people can't even be friends with people that have a different point of view. Yikes.

I think what the major issue is that people who claim they have a connection to god or powers, often are profiting from others or want fame, which shows their actual intentions. This, in my opinion, shows the true motive behind these mediums and prophets and it has nothing to do with God or their religion.

I do card readings for people sometimes, but I can’t do them for myself. If you are involved somehow in the situation every legit card reader will tell you they can’t do it because the cards will show. Your own emotions can flow into them. That’s why I don’t believe card readers that want to predict the election. Not possible. Their wishful thinking is showing.

I’m an American citizen, living in the U.S. As I’ve put in other comments (and my username), I studied economics, but I also studied history. There have always been prophets, fringe preachers, and psychics offering certainty of the future. There has been a rise in demand for them because other mainstream institutions offered certainty when they shouldn’t have. On top of that, the line between entertainment and politics has been blurring since the 1990s. Not only do our politicians have to look good on TV and know how to entertain a crowd at a rally, they need memes and viral moments. It actually doesn’t hurt to have a few prophets and psychics in your corner. They’re entertaining.

I can’t speak for other religious traditions, but there are branches of Christianity that are very strict about women not being allowed to preach, which might explain some of why so many self-proclaimed prophets in America are men. I don’t put any stock in psychics or mediums myself, and I’ve never seen a modern “prophet” who passed the test of, you know, consistently being right about the future, so I don’t look there for guidance.

To be honest? As we have that war in Europe and might be torn into if the US doesn't back anymore we are a bit scared of Trump becoming president... another point would be climate change as we don't deny it and the US is the main producer of CO2 per capita... But despite the potential outcome for World politics - like 90% are just laughing/shaking their heads when Trump is mentioned. Its like a comedy show.

.......what the actual fuck. So this is just my opinion, I have zero facts just observation to base it on. I don't necessarily not believe people can 'prophesise' but I also don't necessarily believe its through a spiritual connection. I think some people are very observant, whether its conscious or not, and their brains in the background put a lot of seemingly unrelated pieces together until it forms a picture. The picture is the 'prophecy'. I also think our spiritual beliefs can help to form these pictures simply because of the lens we view the world through. This lens might help us pick up on other details or look at something differently than people who either don't share our beliefs or do but maybe something else is different. I hope that made sense.

I have rarely heard a specific prophecy easy to verify or a prophecy that really helps us to prepare for an imminent event, such as covid 19, record floods or mass civil violence. Sad to say overall, I find these people boring, vague and useless!
