This is a great option for those who are trying to cut out carbs. Spaghetti is one thing that is straight out forbidden, our alternative was to pair our favorite sauce with stripped vegetables but the task of stripping them was always long and tedious and messy. This product is a godsend and will picking one up myself. Thanks for the demonstration Mike!

Zucchini pasta is actually really delicious! The thing that this infomercial got wrong is that they made it look like you're supposed to just eat the zucchini raw. You're not. Saute it in olive oil or butter first, and the vegetable flavor will become very mild, and the noodles will actually get limp just like actual spaghetti. Try it! It's really delicious, and it's how this low-carb Italian dieter still eats the pasta dishes I crave.

***** Nah, no criticism on Mike, his entire schtick is just doing exactly what the infomercials tell him to do. I just wanted to let everyone know that it actually does work, because I eat zucchini (and spaghetti squash) as pasta alternatives all the time.
@satellite188210 жыл бұрын
Surely if you cook it in olive oil butter. Then cover in a creamy sauce is going to be less healthy than regular pastor because the least normal pasta you just boiling water.
@cheetaking24310 жыл бұрын
mark sanderson Simple carbohydrates are way worse for you than olive oil and butter. Plus regular pasta has a very low nutrient content, while with zucchini noodles you get a healthy dose of vitamin C, fiber, potassium, vitamin b-6, and magnesium. (Also, if you're doing calorie math, an equal amount of pasta and zucchini by weight contain 310 calories and 33 calories respectively. So even when you add the extra 100 calories from a tbsp of butter, zucchini pasta still has half the calories of normal pasta.)
@seigeengine10 жыл бұрын
mark sanderson You can also just boil these veg noodles too.

The whole spaghetti angle doesn't really work, but it's kind of a neat little gadget for doing daft things with veg for salads and sandwiches and the like. I'd kinda like to try this, if only to try it with a potato and fry up the results to make crisps.
@CommodoreFan6410 жыл бұрын
looks like it would work better if you pealed the potato, and left it whole if it's not a big one. and using the other piece that came with it, would help in getting the potato into the thing.
