Thanks for the tips, I'm putting up signs around my family's property. It ticks me off how these people have no respect for boundaries. I have a neighbor who keeps treaspassing on our land and tries to use every excuse in the book to justify his actions. He's a nice guy but he thinks he's entitled to hunt anywhere he wants. I still remember back in 2012 when I saw him shoot a deer on my family's property right out from under me. Man I remember how ticked off I was.

Do you have photos of him trespassing? One of the biggest tips for stopping someone trespassing is to not give empty threats. If you say you’ll prosecute, you have to follow through.

@@InformedOutdoors no I don't have photos but I'm putting up signs and also that neighbor gets permission from another neighbor to hunt on that land he hunts on but my family pays that neighbor rent to farm that land and right now we are building a fence so we put cattle in there and hopefully force him to move somewhere else

Here's a good no trespassing sign, the first shot you hear is a warning shot. You won't hear the second one.

I have had 2 tree stand sits this season blown up by trespassers. Beyond annoying, my land is posted, though I probably should put up more signs, which is a lot on 80 acres.

Don't own a hunting property but own a 4 acre residential parcel in relatively rural Virginia. New neighbors decided they want to set a pretext for adverse possession claim using buried downspout extensions that the original neighbor had run across the boundary years prior. I'm no Einstein but I figured it out. The wife does the dirty work always lurking about my land and brought a contractor one day to do something. We've fence it partially on that side but the issue is not cutting down the very vegetation and trees I love for privacy to install a fence. They also have what appears to be Ring Lights and Cameras aimed into my lot installed way up high by the roof. They also have a German Shep they were releasing on me for a while and then warned me how lucky I am that they have an invisible fence. My stockade fence has signs and now I am down to the county and utility easements by the road that I have to figure out. They're invasive these neighbors. I wish I could screen those Ring cams. I used 3 trail cams but they are not that effective for security. Thinking about trying a Real Link cellular or the Keen model. Thanks for posting. My neighbors made me feel like my lot was public property because it was vacant for many years, not respecting the people who bought it and moved in.

I have tried everything to stop them chasing them but the best thing that's runs them off the fastest is toooooooo. Whip out your camera and take their picture. They will hurry up and haul azz trust me. My trespassers includes a Alabama Natural Resource officer Stacy lush. Just sad to me he's allowed to Hunt and patrol the same exact area just BS if you ask me

That sounds like grounds for his dismissal. Give him a warning, if you haven’t already, and then absolutely follow that up with prosecuting if he does it again.

Got a spypoint game camera but every fukn time I try to move it or change the batterys they just so happen to drive by while iam up the tree. Kinda shit that really makes you think about doing something 😈

Can only keep trying. If you have decent service a cell cam might be the ticket. Make sure you're property is marked well and your fences are in good order. It'll all help if you finally do catch them on camera.

The State governments do not like to address this issue which is a headache for all landowners. They only care about collecting their property taxes. So, if someone gets shot and sues for injuries I definitely would side with the landowner because who invited the trespasser in the first place and what if his intent is to break into your house and steal from you or kill you ? You have to start addressing these issues to your politicians and they should start protecting landowners more. In the meantime I would say stand your ground and protect your rights. That's my opinion.

I have listened to your entire video VERY carefully. You talked about getting to know your neighbors. Our current problem is with our meth-head neighbors granddaughter and her meth-head boyfriend (of the month). When we called the cops last time, we didn’t want them arrested for the two misdemeanors and one felony that they committed. Luckily, the boyfriend had two warrants so he went to jail anyways. I need a cheap effective decent looking way to put a 10 foot wall around my whole property.

That’s terrible. Unfortunately getting to know your neighbors only helps if they’re rational people. Obviously these aren’t. I would say the best thing to do is fully prosecute any instances of trespassing. If you try to be forgiving then they will probably just take advantage of that. Sorry you have to deal with that!

well the neighbors are the one's who are trespassing

Unfortunately that tends to be who trespasses the most. Just have to prove they are the ones doing it and repeatedly turn them in.

Think I am just as concerned with liability problems. Found one kid using his paint gun on my signs for target practice. another group using spray paint on trees as graffiti. you can cover liability and insurance issues in this topic.
