⚠️ IMPORTANT UPDATE ⚠️ (June 24, 2022) ING announced that they will be LEAVING the Philippine RETAIL banking market by the end of 2022. This means that they will no longer offer the ING Save or ING Pay products to retail clients like us. Super sad news because they're one of my favorites because of now nice and seamless their app is 😔 If you have an ING account, it would be best to start transferring your funds to a different bank. Thanks for this Nicole. Opened account to three digital banks ING, CIMB and Tonik. Each of these digital banks has their strengths and a few downsides. I have a favorite for each type of service savings (CIMB), time deposit (Tonik), payments (ING), ease of use, etc. Definitely a whole better than the regular savings account. Higher interest rate and liquid. :)

I opened an ING account in the US some years ago and was disappointed when they sold out to Capital One. I had separate small accounts for vacations, rotating/surprise expenses, home repair, and income tax. It was really helpful in saving and planning.

@@fayeleo the ING physical card uses your Pay account. So what you can do is transfer money from your save acct to your pay account and then you can use your card to withdraw cash or pay for stuff.

I'm from Belgium, so ING has been here since ... forever. And I've been their customer for 16 years. Be carefull, as you said in the beginning, they are oriented towards corporations now. Having an account with them when you're not a corporation has become absolutely terrible over the years. It's litterally the worst ranking bank for particulars nowadays in Benelux.. where it comes from. Every year they are getting worse and worse. So be carefull they might start doing the same strategies they've done in Europe.

I Had ING direct here in the states years ago at least i think its the same company because it had the same lion and orange logo. it had about 5 percent per year then lttle by little it went lower and lower and i think when the housing market tanked 08 ING stayed around 1% for a long time then got bought out by capital one.
