You literally just saved me a lot of money with that sanding trick using a drill, I was going to buy a belt sander for some circular projects I'm working on and this solution is perfect. Thanks!
@UWOODWORKER3 жыл бұрын
I am very glad to be of service!
@j.h.45703 жыл бұрын
Be careful though! The hole saw's teeth are angled and might damage your project, depending on your actual setup and use case. And in general there's often no need to buy a dedicated machine, as you can make sanding drums yourself or buy them. Be mindful that drills don't have bearings that can take a sustained use like this and might develop a wobbly motion.
@firebladex85863 жыл бұрын
You know they sell sanding drum drill attachments right? They're cheap too.
@kashel833 жыл бұрын
@@firebladex8586 I did not. Probably that's why I thought the idea was so clever, I'll look for those online, thanks for the tip

After seeing every woodworking tip (sometimes more than once from different videos) yours are refreshingly different. Almost every tip is a keeper. I liked creating a foam stain/paint holder from an old brush and putting a nail into a enlarged hole to tighten up a loose dowel. Keep it up.

That trick with the washers and bolt holding the screw driver pieces together reminded me of when I was a kid and going through my "Ninja" stage. Back when Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris were my heroes. I did the same thing, but I put nails around the washers (instead of screw bits) to make a Chinese Throwing Star. I thought I was a genius :-) I was 12 and mom wouldn't let me buy them. No internet back then either :-) Great video!
