Thanks! :) I havent had any issues with any of the cordless tools overheating due to the boots....or in general really. I suppose if you were working non-stop in 100 degree heat in a parking lot, but with normal use I dont think it will ever be a problem. They have the cutouts for the vent ports perfectly aligned, so the airflow is not restricted at all.

Awesome tool through and through. Much more powerful than the competitors offerings. Expectations must be realistic with this electric hammerhead however. Don't expect this tool to zip off a lug nut that has been hammered down with a seasoned technicians 1/2 inch high torque air or electric impact wrench because you will be sadly disappointed. That would be a case of the wrong tool for the job. This tool can loosen lug nuts that are "PROPERLY TORQUED". A quick lube shop or dealer service center that needs to get your ride quickly in and out is not going to "PROPERLY TORQUE" your lugs. The tech will lay into them with the monster impact that they use for most everything else (650 ftlb and up). This tool has a specific purpose to get those smaller, low torque, hard to reach bolts that are everywhere. Alternater, water pump, master cylinder, starter bolts to name several. Crank pully bolt, maybe alternator pully nut, axle nuts, super rusty exhaust and suspension bolts will not come off with this tool. Let's try at the very least to keep things in perspective here people. That being saidI picked mine up last Thursday. After saving for a little while this w5330 has been added to my growing stable of IR IQ V20 tools and it is great. I Would like to have seen an upgrade to a brushless motor, LED light, and an electric brake but, it seems like IR is taking there sweet time with deploying additional gen 2 brushless units (shame on you IR). Good job on this video Daniel. would like to see torque testing on the Skidmore.

jessie morales I actually am in the process of building a test stand setup currently & will be adding torque testing (forward & reverse) into future videos about impacts.....I agree with you, and think that it would be very helpful to see proof of torque ratings, so that will be in the various future review starting soon. One thing to keep in mind though, is that the torque applied WILL be different depending on what size bolt & thread pitch is used --- so if I test (for example) with a 1" coarse thread bolt & you try the impact with a 1/2" bolt, we are not going to get the same results. I went over this in my "Milwaukee 2763 Mode 1 Torque" video & prove that when the correct sized fastener is used, the torque ratings are correct (larger bolt VS lugnuts). Stay tuned...

Thanks for the video I am a mobile mechanic and I've been looking for a power wrenchh to fit my business model for some time now I actually purchased the craftsman power wrench with the removal adapter and it was a piece of garbage and also bought a rigid which does not have enough torque I've been trying to find a tool that has enough torque to work on brakes and suspension and hard to access areas. I'm not really sure of I want to bother with the adapters because of the length but What are the prices? It seems as if it may be my only option.
@RealToolReviews9 жыл бұрын
bSlimC Tight areas usually means using adapters & extensions....which cause massive torque loss......so just keep that in mind. This does work well, but for larger suspension bolts, I dont think even it will do what you are wanting it to. For brake jobs it should be fine though.....ball joints, maybe not so much.

I got an air IR Hammerhead. It is a joke. It can't loose a lug nut at 50 ft-lb. Just enough to loose around 30 ft-lb out of the rated 180 ft-lb. IR sucks on this tool. So many complaints and refund. Too late for me to refund. I stuck with it.
@RealToolReviews9 жыл бұрын
Doe John Sounds like a defective unit....I would send it in for a warranty repair. I showed in the video it removing lugnuts at 90 ft-lbs I believe, so I know it can be done with no issues. That being said, this is not designed for that....it is designed for tight spaces, not to replace an air impact wrench in total.

Hey I bought the K1 kit about a week ago... I was testing it out on various things, and it wouldn't even break the sway bar links on my jeep loose. Any idea what the problem is? I can't imagine those being tightened down more than 170-180 lbs. ft. of torque?
@RealToolReviews9 жыл бұрын
Jesse Whaley There are three factors that I think may be causing your issue.....with any of the brushed tools, I normally hold the trigger wide open for 2-3 minutes in either direction to "wear in" the brushes -- afterwards, they tend to have more power than fresh out of the box. Second...the 1.5ah batteries (compact) that come in the kits provide less power than the 3.0ah batteries....in the 10-20 ft-lbs range I would estimate. Third (and most common) -- If you use ANY extension, universal joint, adapter, etc...they torque will drop significantly. The only way to achieve max torque is to use a socket directly on the impact. I have heard of people experiencing defective units, but I would assume one of the 3 things above are the root of the issue.

Question, When you receive the kit 5330-k1, you remove the battery that connect to the tool, do you see any grease that on the battery and tool contact at all. I just bought 5350-K1 from amazon. I notice that when I take the battery out. I see the grease on tool contact and on the battery as well. I do not see this on other tools. These are not dirty grease what I see on the tool. Any suggestion?

+Long T on the battery it is most likely dieletric grease to help get a clean contact for the battery terminals.

hahaha I see you came across those stupid lug nuts with the chrome caps or wtv. Everyone at my work hates when cars come in with those lug nuts. It is the reason why I have so many 21mm impact sockets, so I use one for each lug nut. Hopefully the customer purchases a new set of lug nuts when I show them how bad they've rounded off. It's not me trying to sell them anything, it's honesty in their best interest. If they get a flat they could get stuck on the road unable to change a tire with the equipment that comes with their car. But more often they say no and I put back there old lug nuts lol Jerks haha it's all good tho. great video man, its impressive the amount if power it has. not even my cordless 3/8 impact wrench takes off wheel lugs so easy, maybe because it's a ............... Snap On.
@BlindMansRevenge20026 жыл бұрын
Arthur Garcia you hit the nail right on the head brother. My 2012 Ford fusion has those exact same lug nuts. Ford‘s part counter classifies them as non-exposed Lugnuts. The capOver the top of the lug nut underneath is actually aluminum not chrome. It is very soft and rounds off so easy. Especially, when they are run down with high torque impact wrenches and then you must try to get them off if you run a flat on the road. You stick a breaker bar with a socket on them and they around as soon as you start putting a lot of torque on them. The trick is with these Lugnuts put on properly and then torqued to spec. That way the impact socket doesn’t jam when you try to take them off doing a rotation. I’ve conducted many experiments and found this to be true. I actually carry spare Lugnuts in my trunk because I have rounded them off trying to get them off when I got in trouble out on the road.

kind of shitty how the milwaukee right angle m18 only has 60ft pounds of torque. I mean if you're going to make a tool to compete with this one atleast try to match specs. the 2763 fuel matches the ingersoll high torque impact but they come short with the right angle impact.
@RealToolReviews9 жыл бұрын
H Majhail Well, the M18 that they just came out with is more of a reaction-less ratchet/impact driver (I have reviews coming up for the 1/4" HEX & 3/8" by the way...). The IR right angle impact is the only one that I know of that can actually put out over 100 ft-lbs of torque & would be used for the tight areas with tough bolts. The have the same idea to them, but they are going after two totally different markets.
@THEGREATONE4209 жыл бұрын
I thought the ingersoll w5330 is reaction-less too. the milwaukee I was referring to was the 2668. At first I thought it was a typo the 60ft pounds but after calling them it is the correct number.... just seems underpowered when you consider this thing has 3 times the amount of torque. Anyway thank you for your reviews man much appreciated.
@RealToolReviews9 жыл бұрын
H Majhail Well they both are....they have impacting mechanisms....but the IR is a lot more beefy & puts out a lot more torque. I say reaction-less since (if you have used an air ratchet), it wont jerk your hand when it stops. The Milwaukee has a smaller design and head on it, and it rotates....but cannot get nearly the power (about 1/3rd of the IR). So, it really would depend on what you are working on....the power levels are no where near the same, but again...they are not the same tool. I would compare the Milwaukee to air ratchets or even cordless ratchets & there you will see the advantage. The same or higher power levels & no jerking of your wrist.

I see thanks for the clarification. :)

I would never buy an IR cordless tool, IR makes top tier air tools, they might have some creative ideas, but they're not competing with the top tier cordless manufacturers, a 1 off tool from IR that requires its own batter and its own charger is just stupid air tools are the best tools, doesnt matter what brand, they all take the same air.

jessie morales It works exactly like I showed in the video.....I show tools being used....I dont just read the box. I think from the video you should be able to see what to expect. @RealToolReviews9 жыл бұрын
jessie morales One other thing.....with any brushed motor tool, I normally run them "wide open" (free spinning) for 1-2 minutes in either direction to wear in the brushes & increase performance. Also, the compact batteries that come in the kits do NOT produce the same amount of power in these as the high capacity 3.0ah or 5.0ah packs....and when a battery is brand new, you wont get the max power out of it until it charges/recharges about 5-10 times.....any one of those (or all) could add to the issues you are having.
