Could you please specify how to use the acids - does everything that isn't glycolic or lactic also exfoliate? Will using combinations of these acids over exfoliate and cause inflammation- please teach us how to use all of these acid without over exfoliate (from the girl who got her eyelids chemically burnt when used glycolic acid and salicylic twice a week no where near the eyelids)

Since I’m young and don’t have spots I like tranexamic acid for daily use. It’s not irritating and amazing for sensitive skin but helps even out skin tone.

Ditto on hydroquinone. Specifically, how much to use. All my rx says is. 'Thin layet to.facr " ....um ....it is hard to spread on dry size. Do I use just a 'pea size' for face or 2 fingers like sunblock? Can I apply it after a serum, oil or moisturizer to help kt spread?

I got my rx for retinol and hydroquinone but when I asked for the my GP didn't k ow what it wS and had to research before approving. Then my pharmacy didn't know either, nor had it in stock and needed to order it in. My instructions a very very vague. Just says 'Apply a thin layer to face. " ugh

Great video:) Thank you! I wish so much I would have had this information when I first started treating my melasma and really taking care of my skin. It took me well over a year and a half to finally understand all of these products and how I should use them, and what types etc. It was really difficult trying to figure it all out tbh. So thank you for doing these:) Will you please do some long form videos about which products to use for melasma etc? Thank you Dr Idriss❤

Good morning Doc! Can you please talk about how to cycle HQ. There is so much information on staying away from it and the scary possible side effects yet it is ranked Queen in Hyperpigmentation. If you could help us understand how to safely use it that would be amazing! I am trying to get rid of or at least lighten sun spots on my cheeks. I have been consistent with prescription retinol, finacea and vit C and tinted sunscreen for about 4 months and have the prescription for HQ but I am a little nervous to know when I should start using it and how to cycle safely. My Dr didn’t even mention cycling…I only learned that from you! So I’m waiting to feel more comfortable. Thank you for being so generous with all of your knowledge to not only help us save time and money, but to educate us and keep us safe! Love you dearly! Love from Canada 🇨🇦❤️🥰🙏🏾😘

My dermatologist refuses to give me a Rx for VitA. I don’t think I have sensitive skin. I have pale skin (blond). I have been using SkinMedica 0.25 to 0.5% every other day without any skin irritation and also for the past year red light therapy 3x per week. What else can I do to clear my skin of the background sun spots? Or what other angle may I take to get that Rx ? Thank you ! Ps from Canada.

Hydroquinone literally changed my fucking life. I’m not even exaggerating 💀 for some reason my skin ends up very oily using retinol and various other hyperpigmentation shit. But hydroquinone after washing my face & simply using moisturizer+sunscreen afterwards made my dark spots disappear in like a 2-3 week time period. My skin was so hydrated & clear dude 😭 I’ve been meaning to get more recently but have been putting it off & ended up using some retinol to make myself feel like I was doin SOMETHING but the sebaceous filaments went CRAZY ON MY NOSE IN THAT TIME PERIOD.
