How to do Bathing Soap at Home in simple and easy steps
Welcome to the art of learning soap making. We can make soap easily at home which is a productive hobby. Homemade soap is great for sensitive skin and we can mix natural ingredients like tulsi, hibiscus, coffee powder, aloe vera, coco butter, Chandan, began powder, green gram powder as per our wish.
Ingredients needed for the process of making soap:
1. Caustic soda/Lye - 200gm
2. Talcum powder - 200 gm
3. Coconut oil - 1 kg
4. AOs - 15ml
5. Water
6. Color - 5gm
7. Perfume - 25ml
First, dissolve caustic soda with water overnight in a clockwise direction. Add coconut oil to this and stir nicely. Now add talcum powder to this very slowly so that no lumps will be there. Next, we will add AOs which is the lather foaming agent, and also add color and perfume. Mix all the ingredients in a clockwise direction till the mixture thickens.
Take plastic molds, grease them with oil, and pour the mixture. Keep this for at least 10 hrs to get dried. We can use this homemade soap after 15days to avoid the reaction of caustic soda on our skin.
Our homemade bathing soap is ready to use. Give them a nice wrap!

Soap is a salt formed as a result of the reaction between an alkali and an acid. Oil nu akathu acid undu eg.palmic acid ,oleic acid okke . Athu alkali aaya caustic soda yumaayi react cheyyumbozhaanu soap form cheyyunnathu. Since this is a slow reaction it takes more time to change into salt....so 15 days enkikum minimum venam.More than 25 is better....otherwise skin shrink cheyyum.....anyway thank you for such a demonstration

Please remember AOS and acid slurry are quite different. The actual one is AOS. It is specially known as foam booster ( alpha olefin sulphonate).

Talcum powder is not ponds or cinthol. It's the name given for the powder. You will get this from chemical shop. Earlier karam was used. Since it is very strong , talcum powder is used which is not harmful to skin. For washing soap they use stone powder.
