That’s a great looking rig. Impressive performance, too

@@pocketfuloducks1062 thanks. It’s certainly a lot of fun, and pretty capable too. I’ve added a sprinkling of brass since this was filmed and am itching to get back out there with it.

Good evening Phil nice informative video again. I've seen some people complaining that these motors can be troublesome at times glad to see yours looks to perform well it sure looks like it's really smooth and very controllable at low speed 👍👍

great vid, can i use my stock radio handset with this set up?
@PhilBrindleyАй бұрын
@@LazerFingers not entirely sure, but I doubt it. Traxxas probably wont allow pass through on their esc/rx. I think the original scx24 electronics may be able to do it if you are using those.

I was thinking about the 2400kv on 3s. But after watching, maybe I only need 2000kv. My current crawler is a modified moa 4ws basher rocksta, and the worm drive axles are snail speed. Anything will feel fast to me now 😂 Thanks for posting!
@PhilBrindley10 күн бұрын
It will certainly feel quick after one of those, but it is still only a slow walking pace in reality. I’m happy with it though.

Great video Phil thanks! Would be curious to know if the fat viper transmission combo would work well with the Quicrun Mini 24 ESC?
@PhilBrindleyАй бұрын
Thanks for watching. They will certainly work together, and have the same connections so will be plug and play in that sense. You might have to tinker with the settings on the Mini24 to get the best out of the motor. Maybe I'll give it a try over the Xmas holidays! Will let you know if I do. 🤙

One thing I'd like to know is if the motor wires that seem to be on a tab, sticking out sideways from the motor can be bent flat? Would be nice for some fitment situations. As is it sticks out quite a bit.
@PhilBrindleyАй бұрын
@@wingnutbert9685 this seems to be the same issue for all of them. On my furitek I warmed up the heat shrink and moulded that a little, but it still stuck out. I’ve had drone motors before that had solder pads instead of joined wires, much better for this application.

Do you have to have the injora esc to run the injora brushed and brushless motor or can you just run the stock esc like the spektrum esc from the c10 v2 for example ?
@PhilBrindley8 күн бұрын
You can run an injora brushed motor on the stock esc. If you want to run any brushless motor you will need a new esc that is brushless capable and will then have to get a new radio and receiver as well. Hope that helps. 🤙
@LucasMcClureProductions2 күн бұрын
@PhilBrindley well its forsure staying brushed for awhile now all that aint fitting in the budget lol

I got mine installed but the throttle is reversed and my remote doesn’t have an option to switch the throttle to reverse like it does for the steering
@PhilBrindley20 күн бұрын
Hi. If you download and connect the config tool you can change the motor direction in there. 🤙
@zachary658Ай бұрын
is this set waterproof??? and will it fit a trx4m injora tarantula
@PhilBrindleyАй бұрын
No, it is not. Specifically the ESC is not. You might be OK with the motor though. Personally I would be looking at the Hobbywing Mini24 ESC if waterproof is a deal breaker for you. 🤙

Windows only.......schit! Only have Linux.......Android?
@PhilBrindleyАй бұрын
Yep, that’s what I thought. Don’t think it will run on Linux or Android, unless you have some sort of simulator? Sorry. I will reach out to Injora though and check/ask.
@wingnutbert9685Ай бұрын
@@PhilBrindley Thanks Phil. Bit of an oversight on their part. Be nice if they had an app. Even if it just allowed plugging the tuning module to your phone. Fingers crossed. I've got mine sitting in the box. Hoping to shoehorn it into my MB24 build. Thanks again! Bert
@PhilBrindleyАй бұрын
@@wingnutbert9685 I've reached out to Injora, so will let you know. In the meantime, I've been doing some research and think that the MBL32 ESC is running on AM32 firmware. If so, there is both a web-based configurator and a Linux configurator. I tried the web one, and although it did connect to the ESC, it didn't read the config properly. I now need to check it on the Windows PC in the boy's room to ensure it's not cooked! 😳 So maybe worth a look, but at your own risk 🤔
@PhilBrindleyАй бұрын
Actually, I can't be sure that this is running AM32 so I'm going to say probably don't try this. It's not caused any issue with mine, but also it would not properly connect to read the settings. Time to stop tinkering before I do irreparable damage! 🤣
@wingnutbert9685Ай бұрын
@@PhilBrindley Thanks Phil! I'll look it up and I hope your ESC isn't fried!
