I just came here to say, thank you for everything you do. I'm on my first journey, to my first marathon and you've been a huge help in that being more productive than me swinging my legs around and hoping I can finish. you're way ahead in your concepts compared to other content creators who claim they are here to help. Love the content, love the work and Thank you.

I'm using the app and it helped me managed my Achilles tendinopathy. It gives me this structured approached to strength training and prehab work. Strength work is really the foundation for progress in running. Great video!

Dear Stephen, I am approaching my first marathon (in Pisa, Italy, 17 December!). The training build has been beautiful not only because I got to understand how transformative running can be from a mental health perspective, but also because I went through several injuries that brought to the surface the weaknesses of my body that for so long I had ignored. Your YT channel has been part of my journey of self (re)discovery, especially those honest, raw talks you often put on the channel. Your transparency in sharing your struggles has humbled me and served as an assist to unveil some of my own, which I am now addressing. Regardless of the outcome of the race itself, this journey to get there is one of the best things that happened in my life. I just wanted you to know, plain and clear, that you've been part of this. Even on darker days, just remember you're having a great, positive impact on people like me. I am truly grateful for finding your channel some months ago. A virtual hug for now, until I meet you at some starting line!

I got injured really early into my running journey. I was devastated as I didn't know what to do and even missed a race. Thanks for this video, taking notes to prevent injury from ruining my marathon training too!

Thanks so much, Stephen. I ran my first ever marathon this weekend ( Cape Town) in a time of 3H11. I've only been running for 12 months with absolutely no previous running history. I feel that studying your advice has been hugely instrumental in my development. Being self trained off KZbin can be a rocky road, but you always give the soundest advice.

33 years old, by the way. I only wish I had started running earlier on in life.

That is a really good time actually. Respect to you man for doing it. I don’t got much endurance so I don’t know how it feels to run a marathon but I’m always thinking how do you guys even do it. I’m a miler and run 4:09 and 19 rn maybe when I’m 40 just maybe I will try it but good job man.

@yowhat-mo6xo Thank you, I really appreciate it, I believe consistency with distance running is the only way to build on your endurance. 4:09 for the mile is absolutely crazy fast. I have good endurance but could never imagine running a mile at that pace. Well done and keep up the good work, You clearly have great running talent.

@@toohotto for sure man and I’m not gonna lie it almost feels like a long sprint. Parents had me in track early age and basically started as a sprinter and then started training for distance.

Stephen, thank you for your knowledge. I’ve been implementing your tips of lactate running, steady runs, tempo runs and injury prevention etc since the start of my recent half mara training block. 4 weeks to race day and I already know if the race was today, I’d be PBing by at least 4-5 minutes. We’re very fortunate to have someone with your knowledge, who is willing to share it in such great detail and no BS.

Thanks for making this video as a new runner. I just have no idea how to prevent injury but I can tell as I go faster and longer I’m going to need to take care of my body.

Thanks indeed for all you do! I’ve had countless different injuries in my short beginner running life, and now I am trying to make sure I do prehab to stay away from them. I will give this a go given that it’s free for that.

I see that phrase from Jacob Riis. Didn't know the guy untill we went to the Jacob Riis museum in Ribe, Denmark. Surprisingly nice museum, that tells his life story in such a nice way accompanied by the photos he made himself in New York around the year 1900. Go see it one day if you haven't. After Dublin 😏.

Thank you Stephen, your videos are such an inspiration for me. Thanks to your contents, I could up my training game to the next level. Though if you had a chance to read through my comments, I have one question. I recently participated in a half marathon, I finished about 4 minutes faster than my initial goal running under 100 minutes. My legs felt fresher so I could push myself a bit further, but my side stitches prevented me from that. Do you have any tips to avoid side stitches? Specifically when my body starts digesting (energy gel usually)? Many thanks again.

It’s a big long advertisement video scamming you into thinking it will give you a method to help yourself… not ethical

Yeah, running has done more for my mental health than any medication or quack therapist. Just me against myself and the road.
