Peacock on the ribcage, butt & thigh is a 30 hour tattoo. These people should really take the advice from the artists!
@troyperry411 Жыл бұрын
“The only thing I care about is the location and the size… and the color, and the texture, and the realism” these people are nuts. They have no idea of what it takes to be tattooed but they just want what they want. 30 hours? Well I think you should do it in 6 so just do it. So annoying.
@artisticalex1206 Жыл бұрын
@@troyperry411 they really are. If you want a tattoo like that, go pay for it yourself not go to a tattoo competition that only does 6 hours. I get it’s like a more than 1000 dollar tattoo, but I’d rather do that than go to a competition and have a 95 percent chance of having something like that unfinished and probably badly done because it was rushed.
@troyperry411 Жыл бұрын
@@artisticalex1206 right. You want a that is going to be at least 6 hours you want the artist taking their time doing it right. Not under intense pressure and stress to get as much as possible done in 6 hours regardless of it being their main style, whether they agree disagree with the placement and the client acting like a douche. Like you said if you want a tattoo of that caliber go to an artist you researched and pay the correct price.
@itsseunxojo Жыл бұрын
I feel like she asked an artist back home and they said it would cost like $1000 maybe and take 30 hours. So she’s like well I don’t want to pay that, so I’m going to jeopardize someone’s chance at being ink master to get it for free instead 🙃

They should have limits on how big the tattoos can be... you can't tattoo a 30 hour tat in 6 hours and expect it to look good.
@Kadasberry11 Жыл бұрын
Gotta call Bull on what Chris said at the end because in a real shop, the artist would have ample time to complete the tattoo. 6 hours in a competition setting is hardly a normal gotta-pay-the-rent kinda day.

They'd also have the option to refuse to do the tattoo at all, if they felt the client was going to be an asshole about it.

sometimes I wish the judges sympathised more with the artists like if a canvas will absolutely not budge on something and its basically impossible to complete. I wish they would take it into consideration a tiny bit, or at least do that shit themselves to prove that it apparently is?

Judges? You mean assholes, right? It was pretty clear she knew she was screwed and she was trying to rush all of it. She had 6 hours to do a tattoo that was easily 4 times as large as the ones which were done well. As for the person who gave them the impossible task.. "I didn't do that. I thought they could handle that" He was outright lying... his constant smirking, his glee that they failed gave him away. The lady who said: "If you want to be ink master, you must do this impossible task, that I know is impossible!" It's at that point I would say "Yeah... no. Get out." When the producers intervene... "She wants a tattoo that's physically impossible for me to do in the time I have. I refuse to give her a tattoo that will be horrible. I have ethics. I refuse to do a tattoo that will be horrible." When the judges complain about not doing a tattoo: "However, what she wanted was impossible to do in the time I had. You say 'she pays the bills so do the tattoo', well... I'll do the tattoo well when I have the time to do it. The way she acts, I refuse to have her as a client... Hell! I would send her to your shop... to see if you can do what she wants in 6 hours... I'll even time you." Then I'll proceed to pack up my stuff because obviously not tattooing a person is an automatic fail.

Those last ones with the peacocks piss me off. I don't care that the canvases wanted rib tats, but the non-negotiable size for Gia's was ridiculous. This chick clearly wanted a free tattoo that would have normally cost her at least $1000, and taken any other artist at least 12 hours to complete. Of course there's going to be blowouts and shaky lines when you're rushing to get the whole piece finished in a time crunch. Whatever. Both of those women have exceptional careers and portfolios, but frankly if either one of those canvases complains, that's their problem, not Ryan or Gia's.

So, your critics are great and I agree with them but it's like a lost case, reality shows are completely staged, I wouldn't found strange if the peacock lady was told to say that, it also wouldn't be weird to find out the volunteers are paid extra so the production will choose their tattoos. For everyone saying there should be limits on size of the tattoo or that what some of the canvases want would take more than the time given I suggest you look up interviews from ink masters about this “real” show. The whole 6 hour tattoo is a lie to make the show dramatic. From what I’ve read most artists finish early or need way more time to finish their tattoo. And they’re all given the time they need. Just when we watch it it’s dramatized to make it more suspenseful. It’s not real it’s just another stupid “reality” tv show. Great art and artists tho but fake nonetheless. sorry to burst your bubble 😂
