Great and simple tutorial! BTW You can also get a fantastic results of smoke by inverting the workflow: first making the particle simulation and then pyro out of it.

WoW! Great tutorial! Did this and exported it to blender I'm so happy with it. Just starting houdini. Just wondering if it's hard to do two or more separate inks and export those as separate point clouds? :)
