Particle Advection || Houdini Quick Tutorial

So I thought I'd make a quick little tutorial about particles while I chose to avoid editing another tutorial. Sorry.
In this tutorial we'll cover the POP advect by volumes node and how to use it. I find particle advection is both a great and quick way to create interesting effects.

Great tutorial, thanks! .......... just a tip, try to avoid saying things like "i'm going to come over here", better to say "I'm going to come over to the Pyrosolver", that makes the tutorial easier to follow!

Nice tutorial you got there! but i have a little question. why did you use blast sop instead of delete sop? is there any difference on velocity?

Nope! There is no difference. This was just a personal preference thing :)

I have a problem with the cache, the node can't find the geometry file when I load from Disk..anyone can help me? :(

check that when you are saving to disk the cache isn't ending in .sc That sometimes screws stuff up. Also if you saved a new file in a different directory, that can also be the cause.

8:05 As per usual for Houdini tutorial you skipped a bunch of stuff when you ran into a problem. Where can I find an import pyro field? I'm looking for it and can't find anything.
