Thank you for mentioning that, when coloring, it doesn't have to be copic markers. I know Copic Markers are the holy grail BUT they are very very expensive and there should be more people that give tutorials that use other markers as another option. All of your tips were very helpful so thank you! :)
@Call-me-Al Жыл бұрын
Copic markers is great if you have artwork you expect to be kept for decades or century with minimal aging. It's not really necessary if you only expect the person to keep the piece for a few years or not mind any color changes from aging. Not all art needs to become heirlooms.

The problem I've had with copycats is there's no consistency to their tips. I bought a set of Ohuhu markers and the set had doubles in it, some were dry and some the bullet nib was too soft to use. Plus even with Cooic cardstock they bled through the lines. Just be careful buying off brands. Even Tonic Nuvo Alcohol markers disappointed me. If you have a Micheals near by watch for their Copic sales. In December they had the 7 markers sets as buy 1 get 2 @50% and single markers buy 2 get 1 free. Unfortunately, I have all of the colors that Micheals sells so the sales don't help me. But may help others. Ellen Hutson is my #1 place for Copic. They are cheaper, plus she has the refills and replacement nibs! I have to order a few refills today. My YG02 is always drying out. The cap gets loose. Copic should sell replacement caps for the markers!

I’ve just discovered your channel, and although I was crafting before you were even a tiny twinkle in your parents’ hearts, I have learned so many useful and sensible tips today! I love your crafting style and I was inspired by your presenting style. I don’t know what you have planned for a life career, but you definitely ought to consider teaching. You have a wonderful gift. As for this video, there was a lot of very practical info which I will certainly be taking on board, but my favourite part was the stamped background in the flower card. How classy and stylish. I haven’t got that stamp but I’ll see if I have a similar one to use. I can’t wait to try it out. Love and thanks from a brand new subscriber in London, UK. I’m looking forward to more fantastic videos from you please x

Great tips, Simon! Love the tip about folding the foam tape over itself, then cutting in half. It's awesome to be frugal and stretch our supplies!
