The tattoo critique part of this episode pissed me off. All the judges did, especially Nunez and Olly, was praise Tommy. I thought the point of having a well known artist as a guess judge was to give the artists constructive criticism to help them better themselves and their artwork/tattoos, not to boost the ego of the already famous guest judge!!! Seriously, Nunez even made the comment to Jason that "Tommy's shading looks like it was born on the skin, and it's a gift. Some people have it and some people don't." He was basically, in a round about way, saying Jason doesn't have that "gift". Like, really? And to be honest, I was not completely blown away by Tommy's piece. I agree with Cleen; it was too dark.

Actually... the cross one is not a bad idea... but difficult because it needs a strong and creative artist to create a storm and curtain... the movement and creativity would need someone who is great in balancing realistic and narrative. Too bad not enough time. Focusing on the people at the cross is a great idea... but too much for the time limit as well

Melissa Snow some people argue that the verse you're referring to is directly related to the fact that the cultures surrounding them were exclusively "tattooing" themselves as a way to worship their gods, and one of the purposes of the law was to keep the Israelites separated from the surrounding cultures. Nowadays tattoo aren't typically given in the context of worship, and some people believe that law is no longer an issue because the context has changed. Another point that's made is the verse 1 Corinthians 10:31 "so whatever you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God," and some people feel like getting a tattoo that shows their dedication to God is a way to glorify Him. I could get into like three more arguments, but it's all redundant. It all boils down to personal conviction since there isn't any direct verse in the New Testament saying "absolutely do not get a tattoo." I hope that answers your question!

We arent bound by the laws of the old testamwnt as those were the old covenant which was null,and voided when Jesus died. There are things Christians should WANT to avoid if theyre living their life for Christ such as overdrinking, doing drugs, stealing, lying, cheating etc. Bevause those things don't honor,God. But, we also,l as Christians understand that we can and we will fail and that's the greatest thing about the never ending mercy we receive, because no matter how many times we fail...God will still,love and accept us. Many view their tattoos as a way to,honor God and decorate the temple he's given us. This question would make more semse to be geared toward Jewish individuals as they believe they are still bound by the laws of the old testament because they dont,believe Jesus was the Messiah they were waiting for.
