How do trace and how did you get the image for the flag

Hi Mike! I go into more detail about how I traced the flag in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rWqrhWxog5Jsac0 To get images to trace, just google something like 'American Flag clipart'. If you need something that you are sure is free of copy write, then maybe try some of the paid image services, or look on etsy for premade svgs.
