Furthermore in the OG MW Timeline, Makarov hated the West. If you hear the last story dialogue of MW 2019 which is the Spec Ops briefing, Laswell says that Verdansk was rebuilt by the West and Russia as a joint effort after the Cold War. I’m actually playing the Campaign for the first time rn, and my biggest gripe is the open combat missions. It feels like just Warzone incorporated in the campaign. And that looks like it is being a reoccurring theme in cod today. A lot of ppl call MWZ Warzone Zombies cuz it’s essentially WZ just instead of a PVP BR, you’re going up against AI. Tbh I think that was the problem with DMZ in MW2 As well ( along with going up against AI only to get sniped by a bush camper and he steals all your loot). Idk what Cod is going for, are they trying to ease WZ players into playing other game modes they offer? Or is it vice versa? Either way they gotta stop making the base of their game modes WZ. It’s a huge turn off, if I wanted to play WZ, that’s what I would’ve done. The worst part is it seems that the community is afraid they are going to do the same trend in BO6 w/ Liberty Falls. The Devs need to just understand that WZ isn’t your cash cow. This isn’t the same as Fortnite.

MWIII is supposed to be the Revenge of the Sith of Star Wars, like Ink said, down to darkness similar to what Anakin had, but Captain Price instead, What a wasted potential.

Remember IW worked on campaign. Dont blame sledge for that part.

Sledge made the levels (which is excusable because of the fact they weren't given enough time) Infinity Ward are the ones that refused Sledge's request for the Campaign to be a small spin off story in Mexico, they wanted to bring in Makarov and wrote the narrative.

they should release books or mini-series about the story of Makarov

It was a 70 dlc. Yeah, mp progressed past that, but I'm going by how it was RELEASED. The only reason I got it was because I had enough rewards points to get it for free and I wanted to try zombies... Which despite its issues was the only part I enjoyed. I won't be missing the weekly challenges and am not a fan of having to do the battle pass to unlock new weapons. That makes it feel more like a 2nd job.

Makarov did not hate Urzikstan, he hated the ULF because (i think) they liberated Urzikstan from Russia

Thats what it was supoosed to be but the time line makes no sense cause the verdansk attack took place before MW2019 events if this attack was after, it wouldve made even more sense

One minor thing that I hated about the multiplayer, was included in the weekly challenges. For the majority (basically seasons 1-5) of the game’s lifecycle each challenge required you to use a “recommended weapon” which was annoying and restricting. Especially when there was a choice of at least 10 weapons per class. Sometimes it would even mean only one or two viable options, for example a recommended marksman being mostly the KVD.

Open combat sounds a lot like hitman series. you have an objective and multiple ways to complete them.

The mission you are in on the plane in the MW III is nothing like Russian 2.0, the real mission it refers to is when Price and Soap go to the Verdansk stadium and capture Makarov and eliminate the group that is killing civilians.

The thing is because cod releases new year is the main reason why people bish and moan about cod not changing because franchise fatigue. But I'm gonna be honest here yeah it is a paid dlc that were marketing on mechanics and gameplay that they effed up with mw2 and just fixed those and made them look like they were actual selling points of the game.

Verdansk was committed because he was trying to send a message on how weak Russia became after the humiliation they faced after the loss of Barkov

I’m actually going to miss this game. It was great playing remastered maps from MW2 (2009) for the most part. Haven’t played campaign yet. But I feel the movement was great in this game. I just wish it had better matchmaking for pubs, fixed servers and focused on controlling the cheats. Other than that, I mostly play multiplayer and I felt it had pretty good map content from seasons 1-5. Considered we went through MW2 (2022), Vanguard and Cold War, I think this game gets more shit than it deserves.

Yes adn it does matter - as the saying goes "The standard you walk pass is the standard you acept". And just because EA does it worse with the sports games (which is a good example why monopols are a bad idea) doesn't really make it better

I think you made a good point about how wether MWIII is DLC shouldn't be the question but wether if it is worth 70$. I try to think that way more often when buying anything, asking myself: Is this product worth its asking price to me or am I just thinking about buying because it's cheaper than its competitors or other products in general. (e.g. buying a cheap gadget before considering how much I'm going to use it) Personally I'm not going to buy BO6 at launch. I did buy CoD at launch since WWII but Vanguard, MWIII and MWIII all disappointed me and even though I think BO6 will be great I'll just try it at a friend's place who is gonna buy it anyway My own little Review on MWIII: 1. Campaig Story: Didn't like it, just running after Makarov and never catching him, only to have him runaway as an ending Gameplay: I like ego shooters and cod at that, but especially open combat missions felt kinda pointless as campaign missions 2. Zombies Played it twice, ran around the map while my random mates cleared everything without me really getting a lot out of it. It was boring for me, but I never really got into Zombies 3. Multiplayer To me, it felt really fast and that's why I really liked it. I'm probably an average to below average player, so games never get that sweaty

The way I look at MWIII, Sledgehammer tried they’re best to make the most of a bad situation bc if I’m right they had a very short window to make this game. But, they made the best of a bad situation with multiplayer but the campaign and zombies were terrible. It does suck to see that, but it’s definitely one of the better cods we’ve had the last few years
