@@joshs9733 Personally i started with the right forearm/hands with fingers. Its a great way to see the hand and wrist rotate. Next i'll start with the head and work my way from there

He's very promising , and well articulated. And comparative to the humanlike but expensive Carrie bartender Bot. I think that his sleek mod appearance would be preferable to some people. I would love to see this fellow with the voice and personality file download of Samuel L. Jackson! He tells great stories. And he could absolutely cut people off when they've had enough to drink with no nonsense.

What voice synthesis/voice recognition programs did you use for this one? What kind of platform did you use for locomotion?

Search EZ Robot and the ezb4 robot controller... My base is custom. It uses 2 geared DC motors, lawn mower wheels and a swivel tailing wheel. I am also using a sabretooth 2x12 dual motor controller...

Hey, very nice work, I enjoyed watching this video. Do you actually use the 2D camera in the eyes to detect object or with pre-programmed locations? The same question for navigation, did you use something like SLAM? Thanks!

Real great - you added rolling legs! How did you script the movements of arms and hands - did you use the myrobotlab gesture program or did you do anything else e.g. with inverse kinematic to get the movements right? I did a few tries with v-rep to get servo settings in another project but the learning curve is rather steep to me. I would really like to find the time to get enough expertise to define the InMoov sizes, joints, mass and speed / power abilities to an inverse kinematic model of InMoov. I could then define points to reach for within a realistic range and finally create actual movement scripts from it. Long way to go ...

did you mount a computer on board? if so what type, I was under the assumption that EZB can only run in Windows using their Desktop App..

That's true, but the ezb4 is wireless (wifi)...So it is just an EZB4 controller on board...which is remotely connected to my laptop...

fair enough. so is the voice coming from the laptop or the EZB because my EZB isn't that loud and only has the default womans voice on it.

Dale Marion Laptop... I had the laptop just out of frame... I also had external speakers on it to increase the volume... You are right though, the ezb speaker isn't very loud.... However, some users on the ez robot forum have done what is referred to as the "sound break out mod" ...where they have attached an small amplifier and speaker to the ezb's speaker un-amped output to gain volume.... The voice I have is from Cereproc... makers of computer voices... I got Giles I believe as I like the British accent.... They are not cheap... $45 US per voice or there about...

AT&T Voices are really well done as well they're free but only for non-commercial use which this is. I think the most frustrating part of building is printing. when your printer jams or prints a part incorrectly after 10 hours...

I see... I was wondering anyway... a woman building a robot... what else ? a woman president ?.... there is a fact, men build stuffs for women... vacuum, washing maschine, smoothing iron and other stuffs, all they have to do is to use them... and they are still complaining, now we start building robots to use those stuffs... I guess they will continue to complain after that.... anywayit's not really my problem... I'm single... I do not understand why though...
