Goodness. I’m excited to do 60 mile rides on this trail all the way to the beach and back. I was only getting about 20-25 miles for my KingsongS18. I’m also excited for the stability it offers. Doesn’t seem too much to handle. Just more cardio fun 🤘🏼

great video! l love seeing ur stance and feet position. i learn by watching and ur my inspiration for hoping to get one tenth as comfortable as u on a wheel! and i love hear the wheel and no music, at this time, since we don't have ours yet. what psi is the tire? a street tire would give greater range i would expect on pavement.

Fun range test, love the commentary :-) 92V at the end there I think and Inmotion regard that to be 5%, I would regard that as Zero for sure. Everyone seems to struggle with the settings on that machine. I think Inmotion need a manual, or revise how things work a bit. The screen not coming on is just plain flaky. Range wise its not a huge improvement over the Master if the Master is ridden a little slower than that. That is you don't hang about :-)

So my V11 does something similar at low battery. I haven’t ridden it THIS low before, but the enforced speed limit decreases as the battery level decreases, so you get beeped / tilt back at progressively lower speeds. A power limit is also applied below the low battery threshold, which I think is when she also starts saying “overload, please get off” at lower and lower power demand levels, even when you’re still below the enforced speed limit. At some point, this makes the wheel effectively unrideable and trolley-only. The IM app shows the current enforced speed limit in the middle of the “dashboard” / Home Screen, which is actually how I found out that hard pedals = 34 mph and soft pedals = 30 mph on the V11, even when the max was set to 34 mph in both cases.

@@MC-qj2zd the last couple but prior to that it was above 20 mph. Keeping it in the 30's at the high end it is a 60 mile wheel. You could say that about ANY wheel on a range test dude. The Sherman S "only" got like 70 under the same circumstances at the end and nowhere near the same top speed.

My v12 hs gives me the same fault warnings at low battery, i guess thats just an inmotion thing. As far as the screen not working, I assume it was simply a firmware bug, its the exact same screen as the v12 hs and ht (which haven't had this issue) and it fixed itself without taking it apart so it was likely not a hardware problem. My only complaint about the screen is that its a resistive touchscreen, so it will always be janky. But had they used a capacitive touchscreen it would easily be triggered by rain or water so I understand this decision.

I've always seen the wheel speed to be reported about 10% higher than GPS speed. When you see me looking at my watch on my right hand, that's a Garmin Fenix 6X Pro. I'm checking GPS speed vs wheel speed. Also, the speed displayed on my videos are GPS speeds. So like with the V13, wheel speed of 56mph was actually 52mph GPS.

I get the ride til it tilts but do get its a 'test'. No one should be going by this range test. I do not go lower than 20% batt on any of my rides unless I'm caught. Also take into acct Dawn is not your average rider in weight at least so most of us phat Norte Americanos will do worse. IOWs going by an ave 180lb rider doing similar ave speeds down to 20% batt, I'd say this is a 40-45mile wheel at best. Heavier riders & lower ave spds change the metrics ofcos. FWIW I just came home from a 97km ride with 18% showing on my EXNht, accumulated over 2 'warm' Alberta days (btwn -2c to +3c). I would assume this v13 will fare similarly

She don’t realize that you’re not supposed to completely drain the battery. It says it on the manual I have the InMotion V12. It says “completely draining the battery may result in permanent damage to the battery”. It’s the same thing on the V13 too. Also STOP constantly trying to push it to the max when it’s low battery. You’re a beginner rider and I can tell. Literally every EUC rider will tell you “respect the beeps”. If you’re at 12% and it beeps at 25 mph then you go 21 mph. You’re gonna fuck up your wheel like a dumbass. Or cause you to experience cut off even though the V13 has 42 mosfets. It can still happen at low battery even high battery percentages too. You gotta learn about EUC’s before you jump on one like an idiot. Not fussing at you. Just want you to learn. I been riding for 6 years.

Hi Dawn! How were you able to unlock the full speed potential of the V13. I saw a video of you and Marty and some fellas and your main complain in that video is that when you get to a certain speed the unit just limits you up to that only point. I heard Marty said he will add that problem and ask someone. So basically, my question is, how did you overcome that speed limiter on the V13. What did you guys did?
@DawnSChampion
@DawnSChampion Жыл бұрын
Oh, he fixed that first thing. It was just that they limit your speed if you’re in soft mode. We had put “pedal softness” to 0. But apparently that means maximum pedal softness, so our speed was limited. Putting the pedal softness higher I unlocks that. We have it at 100 now because we want maximum pedal hardness
@MrSpeedyduck
@MrSpeedyduck Жыл бұрын
@@DawnSChampion This is great to hear and overcoming this speed limiter problem was behind you now. Now, my only and sole problem getting this unit is the absurd price, which I think, Marty has the same sentiment as well. I guess when the price goes down a tad bit, I think I will purchase this wheel. Thank you Dawn!
@DawnSChampion
@DawnSChampion Жыл бұрын
@@MrSpeedyduck yea for sure But if the Commander Pro is 4K, the V13 is a fair price comparatively.
@MrSpeedyduck
@MrSpeedyduck Жыл бұрын
@@DawnSChampion For sure, and I absolutely understand why the price is priced as such, esp. with all of the safety features InMotion has implemented to make this wheel pretty safe.
