Great vid Steve! During my warmup/pre-round range session, I like to pretend I’m swinging a sledgehammer for all my clubs. That definitely helps my tempo and promotes my body, legs and hips to swing my arms VS. the other way around

Hi Steve, thanks for this. I have tried various ‘trigger’ moves. This is the best one for sure. Watching your slo-mo driver swing I note that your big muscles ‘1’ move precedes the hands and club by a fraction of a second. Is this an illusion or a demonstration that the ‘one piece’ takeaway is not actually a one piece takeaway? cheers, from Oz

Glad it was helpful! I'm not exactly as synced up as I want to be but yes your perception is good. I'm letting the axle turn the wheel.

Steve, as far as the hands are concerned, is the "and" move the same with your irons as with your driver? With the irons I recall the "and" move includes a slight forward press with the handle, taking the angle out of the back of the left wrist. With the driver, are you careful not to do that since you want to hit up on the ball? In other words, please explain what the back of the left wrist does during the "and" move with a driver. Thanks.

Mike liked to flatten the right wrist in the forward press but it falls in the category of minutiae. Sure copy it, but don't obsess.

I've often wondered if heavier clubs would be better for everyone? 2 reasons, 1, if you get hit by something heavy it does more damage than if you get hit by something light. I.e energy transfer must be better from a heavier club. 2nd, almost all the training aids like the orange whip, lagshot etc are all heavy so you can't manipulate them so much

Energy = Mass X Velocity squared

Hello Steve. This is not part of what you are teaching in this video but I noticed in a few of your videos that you have a lot of movement with your leading foot with your driver swings. Your foot appears to slides back and turn out on your downswing. I have never seen anyone else do that but I can’t argue with someone who consistently drives it over 300 yds. Can you comment or maybe even make a video about that? (If not already done😉)
