Flashcards and quizlet to learn new vocabulary in English + unusual ways to use them!

In this video, I'm explaining how to use flashcards and Quizlet to learn new words in English or any other foreign language. Flashcards are really effective if you want to use the principle of spaced repetition to memorise and revise English vocabulary better. You can also use them to learn pronunciation and grammar! I explain how in the video.

Thank you for the video! I'd like to add that the features you are missing in Quizlet (a picture on the card, an audio) could be found in Anki cards. And they are free of charge, instead of Quizlet. ;)

What I find interesting here is that you use English/German instead of Russian/German. Do you find that to help you with English as well?

Yes because English and German are so much closer typoligically, I started learning German through English. It wasn't a conscious choice, rather an intuitive thing. It has changed sliughtly since then though. For example, I've discovered that I can learn the "trennbare Verben" best when I use both my knowledge of Russian and English. Anyway, I believe that all the languages we learn, first, second, or fifth, doesn't matter, they are all weaved into one system where everything is linked to everything else.
