There is no reason to speak at a faster pace, unless you have a time constraint, or have a need to interject, or want to show off how fast you can speak. When you speak slower, not super slow, you will sound more confident, wiser and more intelligent! Sometimes the speed is actually covering up a weakness....

The length of each episode is appropriate - not too short in a way that contains too little information. The words are uttered in a moderate speed and a clear fashion. And the intermittent jingles - they are just perfect indicators of the change of ideas/topics and jazz up the listening experience. Keep up the good work! My learning of French counts on you! :D

I have always been frustrated going from beginner french to all other intermediate french podcasts as the jump was too big. This podcast is the perfect next step for me. I am very good at memorizing words and grammar rules so that i read and speak far better than I can comprehend. Now finally i have something that allows my brain to listen and understand so that my listening comprehension can improve. I am simply thrilled.

When I speak occasionally to a french person I feel like I am a pre-beginner. After listening to this pod with subtitles I am encouraged to say I am at intermediate level. It's all about the ability to recognize sound. Language before it is transcribed into words, it is purely sounds. One must learn the sounds, the music first, and the rest is theory. And here's a paradox: the more languages you learn the less you will feel like you speak them properly. It is a really hard and constant work to keep with them all. Fluency in more than 2 languages is a phantasy.

Thit is exactly how a language should be taught, the way you explain slowly and you make it much easier for a better understanding is really appreciated . Thanks 😊

Hello I got very fustrated with french learning, I can't learn grammer and I was looking everywhere on youtube for intressting french content, who's not very complicated. But never found anything. And two months after youtube recommended a video from you and now I can start learn freench like I learned english. With intressting content, who makes me want to understand the other person and with that starts also my intresst in the other language.. It's a miracle for me, why school don't understand this.. make a language for daily use and it gets intressting.. You are a great person! and thanks so much for the effort. I will definitly enjoy your content!(:

I don’t know if you look at comments from such old videos but you absolutely nail the pace of speech for intermediate learners in these podcasts. Je peux comprend environ 90-95% de ce podcast. Si tu as parlé plus rapide que je n’ai rien comprendre du tout ou peut-être 10-15%

Wow. What a pleasure! I’m maybe an inter mediate student optimistically, but I understood enough to think I understood his clear speech, his slowed down and clear pronunciation. Looking forward to listening again and again in his beautiful flow of French which attracted me to

this is already going so badly are there any tips for me to better understand french through listening???
@KylaeighA4 жыл бұрын
sub to unus annus Just listen as much as you can and watch videos that have accurate subtitles and slow them down. Read as you listen, you don't necessarily need to understand everything but you do need to get your brain accustomed to the sounds of the language and have it subconsciously match up the spelling with what it's hearing. Everyone starts somewhere, good luck!
