Did RAGBRAI back in 2012, you know the year the world was supposed to end :) I hope to do it again in 2020 or 2022, on a recumbent, the one I rode in 2012, if she's still up and running still. Nice to see so many recumbent's on RAGBRAI. Keep on pedaling.

Encouraging to see so many Bents on the ride, from Two wheels ; Trikes ; Hand Cycles to a Sociable or two and an Inner Tuba in a trailer. Relaxing music from Jon and the Loud Mouth Brass. Now that would be an event that i would like to do, relaxed, full road closure, friendly cyclists and people on the way.

I would love to see him perform his magic at the Marymoor Park in Redmond Washington. Redmond Washington is extremely bicycle friendly and numerous bike trails connect to it. He should seriously consider going there.

Irvine, California and the rest of Orange County is a good area to come into contact with recumbent bike and trike riders on different trails, but it is frustrating that there isn't a shop specializing in recumbent bikes and trikes. This kind of shop serves as the ideal place from which to promote similar events such as this one.

We saw a couple of velomobiles at the expo but they were probably always far ahead of us on the route. I didn't see any high wheelers 😔

I rode RAGBRAI several times back in the 70's. When I saw high wheel bikes they were always riding around town in the evening. They may have arrived by truck (many riders are a part of a "team" that includes a vehicle to haul your gear) or they may have been bringing up the rear on the daily ride.

There probably were but I didn't notice any while we were there. They would have to make sure they could recharge overnight but I suppose that's possible.

@@GarySolomon then I have a question for you. I am looking at getting a trike and with some health problems a bad ankle and my left leg a little weak would you think I should get an electric assist

I apologize for not getting to interview you 😟 My wife took that picture and told me you were at the expo. I tried to find you but failed. I knew my chances of seeing you during the ride were slim because I was focusing on one of the slowest riders and no doubt you were one of the fastest every day!
