INNOCN 34M1R Ultrawide Monitor Review- Watch Before You Buy!

The INNOCN 34M1R has a lot going on for it with the primary draw here being 2304 local dimming zones and a ton of extras like a KVM switch, usb type c input with 90w charging that can be used for a display input and the wireless charger on the base. I've been seeing this monitor for months on amazon, nobody talked about it or made a review, in theory it was great, it was the monitor with more local attenuation zones per inch that existed, but now I see that there are many things that it does terribly wrong, and no matter how cheap it is now I think it's not worth it. tnks so much for the review!

Dammit... Was waiting for this to come out in the EU under the PREDATOR X34 V3, but this review makes me question if I really want this. Thank you for the very thorough review! The other similar choice would be the lenovo y34wz-30 but I can't find any detailed reviews of it. All monitors seem suck either for gaming, HDR or for productivity... Wish OLEDs could be brighter and never burn in from 8h workdays so I could finally justify buying one :((

Do you think it was a dodgy panel , that local dimming didn't look good at all ?

I only had that issue in dead space where it looked that bad. The other instances just aren’t as noticeable unless you’re really looking for it. Not quite sure why it’s struggling but my guess is the quality of the mini leds or the lack of being able to adjust it in the panel settings.

I simply dont understand how there can be so much blooming with over 2k dimming zones. I was thinking of getting this monitor but that horrible perf of dead space really just confuses me. Is this an isssue of the panel or the game? Also have you tested any other dark games?

I found out it has to do with the units the control the local dimming zones. A panel of this size should have around 4, this has 1 which leads to the blooming.

@@1UpNerdcore wow thanks for the info! Damn what a shame. If the local dimming would work decently this would just be a hell of deal for 500 bucks. There will be some more mini led monitors releasing this year. If none of them fit my needs i guess im just gonna drop 700 bucks for an samsung g8 oled.

@@1UpNerdcore If an LCD/LED monitor does not have FULL ARRAY LOCAL DIMMING(FALD) with at least around 300 plus Local Dimming Zones and 600 nits Peak Brightness(HDR 600 Certification), it is not "REAL" HDR. It is cheap, entry level stuff to confuse the consumer into thinking they are getting real HDR for a bargain when they are just getting knockoff HDR.

You’re putting those constraints on what you consider to be “real hdr”. Color bit would matter over that if I was going to put constraints on it. Peak luminance would be after that and FALD would be last.
