Where would you even install it on a Softail! I struggled to install an FP3 on my Sport Glide. Just no room anywhere for another control box.

It's always good to have different opinions and ideas, we can take the compliments and the downsides or criticisms, yes there are too many cables and we'll see if there are other ways to address them, this tech is bound to be useful but as you say, it's not good enough to look at, and the R1300GS solves the problem nicely by having the system built into the rear view mirror. Of course, relying too much on technology isn't a good thing, but it's nice to have devices that can assist you in observing your surroundings. Thanks Alf.

Initially I was thinking this could work on my BMW RT (which has faired in mirrors) I could probably hide the detector nearly somewhere as well. As someone with limited vision from my right eye, this could possibly be a life-saver. But I agree with @scouserdeluxe : we become too reliant on these electronic aids. Because of my limited vision I now take extra care to look for vehicles in my right blind spot. I shift my entire body for a 'life saver'; I have adapted and I am self-reliant. As they used to say in the RAF: 'you can't improve on a MK1 human eyeball' You can only imagine the disasters that will happen when these things fail to report the presence of a vehicle after the rider has become more reliant & trusting of them. Thanks, Alf - but no, Thankyou 👍

I'm actually interested. I have this technology on my Subaru; love it. If you don't have it, you miss it. Won't look good on many bikes... would be fine on my Pan America... vivid black, just a pain in the ass to hide all the wiring, and then the cable ties. You didn't mention the price-point. On Amazon looks like about $300 U.S. (yikes) marcus

Don’t like idea of all the wires all over my bike . And when you take it to a garage they would refuse to service because of this . I still do my lifesaver even on my trike 👍🇬🇧

Anything that helps avoid road accidents, including radar and lane assist tech, is a good thing. However, exposed wires running down the mirror stems is just yuk! I would fit this tech to my Harley cruiser/Pan America if the mirror sensor wires were either hidden or the sensors connected wirelessly. So as is, not for me.

"Third Eye," has a new, suddenly marketable, meaning...

Load of bollox It shouldn’t be on any bike or any cars for that matter. People are being conditioned to rely on electronic aids instead of actually looking for themselves

Careless drivers should install those on their cars. As time passes, more and more of them.

No not for me if I still had my adventure bike maybe I’d try it but I am always checking my mirrors I’d hate to think how many times per mile I struggle with twisting my neck to far because of problems but I have a wide vision of view on the rocket so I’m fine plus I’d never hide all them wires bye for now

You didn't even try it out? Also, you don't HAVE to mount the indicators to the mirrors. Why not put them down on the handlebar clamp or on the speedo? Anyhoo, I can't resist. Harley Davidson - "The most efficient way to convert gasoline into noise without the side effects of horsepower." 😋At least here in "the states." Do folks over there make them noisy as hell?
