Innovate UK success story: Bladon Jets innovative mobile and low-cost generator takes off

Coventry-based Bladon Jets (www.bladonjets....) is about to start manufacturing thousands of innovative micro-gas turbine generators destined to power mobile phone masts in developing parts of the world.
The business has grown rapidly with the support of Innovate UK and is also working with motor manufacturers on developing its engine as a range extender for hybrid electric cars.

This idea is keeping me up why is this not a range extender in an electric cars turbines can make huge amount of rpm that could be fuel efficient and create low greenhouse gas emissions it's genuinely a good idea

If you can use exhaust gas from automobiles to generate enough power through your micro turbine to move the vehicle further more, you would increase milage significantly.

It’s been held back for years this type of power was successful in the USA during ww2 In underground bunkers to power them kinda gets you asking the question why.... Money What you guys are doing is great although sadly I doubt it will take off for the same reason.

That scale of a jet engine/gas turbine doesn't need a cooling and lubrication system.

Only one company anywhere in the World has ever commercially produced a viable Microturbine generator, it's not suitable for cars, its big heavy and expensive! After over 15 years they have not produced an automotive unit and they have financial performance issues. How will you do better? When will your products be actually in scale production?

Using a kero guzzling micro Turbine to power a generator has to be the most stupid idea ever....Their Axial engine is a remarkable feat of design,. but even a more conventional Centrifugal Micro Turbine wont be suitable to power a generator. It's almost laughable,
