What is design and how is design as a way of thinking used to drive innovation in the industry? Why are organisations increasingly turning to design to transform the way they operate, how they engage with their customers, and their approach to creating products and services? This five-part mini series features interviews with designers from three award-winning Australian companies to answer these questions. The mini series was developed to support teaching interaction design, design thinking and design innovation. The interviews give a glimpse into what it’s like to work as a designer and offers tips for aspiring designers.
The case studies were filmed as part of a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) with the title “Innovation Through Design: Think, Make, Break, Repeat” available via Coursera, produced by the University of Sydney’s School of Architecture, Design and Planning with support from the University of Sydney and funded through the NSW Department of Industry’s Boosting Business Innovation Program.
We are making the case study videos available for free as a resource for all the design educators and design students out there that are moving to an online learning mode due to the impact of COVID-19.
