Unlike other boxers, Inoue does not aim for a decision, but fights for KO. Naturally, he enters his opponent's territory, so there is a risk of being hit by a bullet. But Inoue was not hit by a bullet except for the first round down. Other boxers would be hit by many bullets if they aim for KO in every match. People who watch fighters who always outbox each other may not understand this. Inoue has said before: "If I want to win by decision, I can win without getting punched. But the fans don't want to see that, so I'm going to take the risk and go for KO.” This is the mentality of a special fighter.

Naoya Inoue's weakness is his entertainer nature and his obsession with KOs to entertain. He often gets heated and sometimes tries to push himself forward to show off his good side. That's his only weakness. But that attitude makes his game interesting. Even if he is fine with the decision, I don't think anyone in a similar weight class will be able to beat him if he sticks to outboxing. He's a monster now that he's calmed down. It's very interesting to watch his games.

Luis Nery isn't a slouch, and he's a heavyhanded counterpuncher. But Inoue took that shot, took 8 to reset himself, and made sure to not get fooled a second time. A champion in all aspects, and unlike most who hold belts, I think this knockdown will only serve to make him better as a fighter. Inoue is just that kinda cat. He learns from his mistakes, and his boxing IQ is top level. They say power is the last thing to go in a fighter, so I don't have any doubt that he could have a long career and cement his GOAT status with a long line of defenses to his titles

The lucky Nery did some good points unintentionaly to make Inoue angry and reckless in round 1 and got a lucky drop. 1. Cheated with PED to defeated an older Janpanese boxer who is a predecessor of Inoue. 2. Dis-respect to Inoue with word "Overrated" If you know little about Japanese cultures, you can find these 2 points are really bad and sensitive among them. That's insane especially for a teenager who just became a pro boxer and about to become an adult. 😅😂 When the champ smiles after getting knocked down, you know that he's gonna kick it up a notch to pay you back in spades. I've seen that happen in muay thai fights like Buakaw or Tawanchai's matches

Inoue's restlessness in the early rounds was probably due to Yamanaka, the Japanese boxer who lost his belt six years ago due to Neri's doping and overweight violations. Neri took him down, but that allowed Inoue to regain his natural composure and completely eliminated Neri's few percent chance of winning.

I was thinking the same thing about the last straight right that took down Nery. It looked like a half assed punch but the look on Nery’s face told a different story. I am guessing it’s just from compounding damage Nery was receiving over the 6 round that lead to that. He did look out of it on the 2nd knock down so I guess shouldn’t be that surprised it would end after another big combo. Also I would not go to fight in Australia after the last Pacman fight over there with Top Rank. With nothing to lose and everything to gain in their home territory it will just set up for another terrible ref and score card.

Down, but not out. Inoue came out on top and sent Nery to sleep. After Nery got knocked down in round 2, it was over. He didn't know what to do anymore. Nery got a lucky punch. But Inoue gave Nery a taste of his own medicine to show him that he also has power in the inside and landed two left hooks that sent Nery to the floor a 2nd time. At this point, it was just survival mode for Nery looking for a lucky shot. But Inoue learned from his mistakes by putting up his right guard and moving to Nery's right which nullified Nery's left power shots. It was just a matter of time and Inoue was landing shots at will. Those shots weared Nery down and he had no answers. Finally, the right hands landing and then a powerful short right hook. Nery has to eat his words. This fight shows that anyone can go down at any given point in time. But it's the one that has heart, can adjust, establish the jab dominance, nullify the opponents power shots, and this can lead to a KO, which in this case, was in Inoue's favor. End of story.

I loved how he knocked Nery down in the 5th round. After he landed the lead hook on the head, instead of mixing things up like he usually does, he faked a lead hook to the body by lowering his left hand and crouching a little only to throw another lead hook to the head. He sold that one really well. You can see Nery lowering his guard to his liver after the first left hook landed instead of keeping it up like most fighters instinctively do after getting tagged by a hook to the face.

I have to disagree with you on Inoue looking shaken. He looked to me like he just couldn't believe he was dropped. Never thought he looked shaken at all.

Naoya will learn from his knockdown and make him better. Fighting Goodman next seems like a boring match. Moving up in weight seems like a difficult challenge and will certainly test the Monster.

Congrats to any folks who bet on the fight being less than 7 rounds. Good amount of money there simply because very few of Naoya's matches go above it due to his KO power. Jamie Mcdonell was 20 seconds

Would you believe that some hater of Inoue said that Nery was robbed?....They said that the ref, in one round when Inoue got knocked down, was counting too slow...He should've count to 10 FASTER and counted Inoue OUT... There are mentally ill people like that among us, lol

Have you ever heard of getting copyright strikes and claims before? Have you ever run a KZbin channel and got strikes on your channel with the threat of getting it taken down? Well, that's what can happen if you use footage after a big fight + the Japanese are very strict with footage. I would love to use more footage, but I have been burned way too many times in the past. I don't want to take the risk.

He is the best fighter currently but just like the other pound for pound he is not complete, Canelo can not fight going backwards and no footwork and Inoue definetly has issues with with his chin, he has enough skills to go up another division and get a title but that will be a proper test with bigger fighters with more powerful counters. I can see a counter puncher at 130 putting down Inoue if he makes the same mistake, at featherweight might be his limit.

So pacquiao got whooped by 40 years old Marquez but nobody talk about it. Love saying that inoue almost lost to 39 old donaire ( in reality donaire was 36). Now he's hypejob cause kiss canvas in 1st round. I see ....racenarattive soucing by filipinos 😂🎉

In the Marquez fight he had a ton of muscle on. Where did that come from???
@akenoicap8512
@akenoicap8512 Ай бұрын
It was their fourth fight, plus Marquez gained a lot of muscle mass in the 4th fight, as well as having lots of acne all around his body which is suspicious. Not to mention his conditioning coach was Angel Hernandez who was caught supplying PEDs to athletes. Regardless, if it wasn't for that lucky punch, Marquez will be TKO as he already has a broken nose.

He has fought 3 times in the USA and some was him defending his belt. That is more then most usa fighter who only fight in the USA. I don't understand the mentality of "fight in the usa" when a fighter like Tank has never fought outside of usa but foreign fighter don't say "oh he has to fight in my country." Seems to be a selfish USA mentality Reason why boxer like nery and Fulton or any sane fighter agree to fight him in Japan because they understand they can't sell ticket in usa but in Japan they can make more money. If Inoue was to fight in usa again, it needs to be with someone that can sell ticket otherwise both are going to lose money.
