I have an 04 CR250. Its crazy how 2 stroke 250s sound so high pitched when your on it but when you hear someone elses it sounds so deep

Sometimes when someone is rippping a 500 it sounds like a 4 stroke dude, until he gets on it.

I’ve found out it’s because the pipe itself and the engine makes a lot of noise and this is what you mainly hear until you are directly behind

in the old days before spark arrestors they used a 6in × One inch "stinger". Those things were super loud and very high pitched.

I made it to 2:47 and had to take a break. It's just too real and they spend way too much time in the air. I'm 64 and my bikes we're an 85 and the much better 93 cr 250s. From time to time I miss them. Better to take risks when you get older than young. Like my mtb for now. Love this video. Best I've ever seen. Really.

I rode 125 and 250 in late 70's. After 7 years at Texas A&M, I got a CR500. Now that was and eye opening bike!

I have a 2006 Yz 250 and a 2014 yzf 450. I love my 2 stoke. I think that after 2005 Yamaha made the best 2 smoker ever. I mean its 2019 and aside from cosmetics and a change of suspension in 06 its the same bike from 05. but its just so much easier to go fast on the 450. just slap it in 3rd and ride the whole race sometimes. Still love coming home and my jersey smelling like 2 stroke oil though. best smell ever. and I never take the 450 out if i'm off track. nothing like doing 90 degree hill climbs. Braaaaap

Had a 87 yz 250 that was the best fastest 250 ever it was a pro Enduro harescrsbel racers bike it had some work done it had been to Italy the 6 day trial and in the blackwater 100 would love to have that engine in a newer frame and suspension

Two strokes have the best sound and are faster, but four strokes have become less maintenance bikes , leading the fart sound behind, so to speak, xr650L😁

Until you need a $4500 engine rebuild on your 4t. Valves are $100 each and most heads have 5 of them. 4t much more expensive. I have sleds that have 12k miles on them and never even had rings done. 2t less cost and maintenance
