Interesting that this popped up in my recommendations. Got my driver's license this February and I don't have a car of my own yet, but my dad said he might give me his car which is, guess what, a 1.6 4x4 Honda HRV. I was thinking to myself, even though I didn't plan to do anything to it anyway, that you can't make it fast in no matter what. well it seems I forgot, to my shame as a sleeper lover, what you can do to an old school, practically bulletproof, Honda engine. great job on this HRV! 👍

HRV has giant front brakes from the CR-V its a "hybrid" from different cars. Just install "Integra LS 5th gear" on that hydro gearbox if you install a turbo, its a very rare gearbox too D case with B/H internals. To make an sport car... replace the oil PAN for a smaller Racing one and you can lower the suspensión with no engine damages.

It's funny as fuck watching the front come up under acceleration, slam down in between gears then tilt back up again 😂 Also took me a good minute to make sense of the big turbo civic noises coming from a HRV. I have a blue 1999 European honda made in Japan. I love the beast. 20 years old and still comes up to 170km/h and reaches 60km/h in 3 seconds if you play with pedals at right moments. I would never trade it to anything, unless she kicks the bucket on me one day or another when I try to beat a 2016 BMW on the green light (sometimes I win lol)

Actually HRV mk1 share brake size and gearbox internals with the heavier CR-V... on 1100kg body.To use a Turbo on it you need stronger clutch and important: INTEGRA LS 5TH GEAR or you will broke the engine because go overreved… and the good base are the non-vtec to turbo it , because you can use it on lower revs.
