Check out today's insane video that reveals some of the closest calls a President ever faced while in office as people have countlessly tried to assassinate the leader of the free world.

Actually Richard Paul Pavlick was a veteran of World War One.... If I read correctly in fact he was born in 1887 at Belmont, New Hampshire so by the time of the entrance of the United States in World War Two in 1941, he would already been 54 years old, too old to be renlisted in the military...

The Theodore Roosevelt assassination leaves A LOT out. 1) Roosevelt DID NOT recover from this injury. He was too sick to campaign for the final months of the campaign. 2) Roosevelt died only months after the election, because of being shot and the health problems it caused. If you get shot DON'T do what Roosevelt did even if the would doesn't seem that bad, seek medical attention IMMEDIATELY.

There's an Infographics Show video about the president's level of security. It includes things like having to have an ambulance nearby at all times, having several pints of blood of the president's type on hand, and the need to be no more than 10 minutes away from the nearest hospital; with a Secret Service agent on hand in that hospital's ER to clear the way as soon as they get the word. Some of those measures might have been in place when Reagan was shot and they would have helped him survive.
