The Warren Report concluded that the Assassin Lee Harvey Oswald had fired three shots: one that entered Kennedy’s neck and exited through his throat before hitting Connally, one that hit Kennedy in the back of the head -the fatal shot, and one that missed.

The one where he had Kennedy and Connally sitting at the same height in line with each other in the limo, which did not happen? That movie? Connally was sitting in a jump seat lower and to the left of Kennedy. Kennedy's and Connally's wounds line up perfectly with the 6th floor window. Watch "The Kennedy Assassination - Beyond Conspiracy" instead. It has actual experts analyzing everything.

Oliver Stone himself admitted he used artistic license and included every known conspiracy theories in one character, Jim Garrison. The jury of the actual trail took 75 minutes to return a not guilty verdict. 75 minutes included leaving the courtroom, possibly bathroom breaks, consider the evidence and return. The trail was a joke and so is that movie.

The Carcano is NOT a rifle "known for being imprecise" it's actually a good rifle (considering it's design is from the 1920s) there is also a version with the barrel built by German gunsmith company Manliker and the Manliker-Carcano is actually considered a very good precision bolt-action rifle and is still used here in Europe for deer and large game hunting.
@troutaholic8834

It was a 66 yard shot, going away and descending from the snipers perch. An easy shot with a rifle with iron sights. A very easy shot with a scoped $19.95 rifle ( properly sighted in). Shot to head came from fence along grassy knoll, contrary to the Warren Commission Comic Book.

At first I was convinced there had to be a shot from the front due to the visual on film showing Kennedy's head go "back and to the left". But a lot of forensic experts have done the tests (some of them put to film) and confirmed that it was possible for a head to go "back and to the left" if shot by a sniper from behind.
@stddisclaimer8020
@stddisclaimer8020 Жыл бұрын
@@sanseverything900 Watching the Z-film frame-by-frame, you can see the President's head move initially *_forward_* at the moment the fatal bullet made impact (just before it moves backward & to the left, in a neuro-muscular spasm). This happens at frame nos. 312-313. The initial forward movement confirms a shot from behind, which is consistent with the forensic evidence.

The idea that the Carcano was/is an inaccurate platform actually comes from the fact that post WW2 when many captured Carcanos ended up in the US civilian market with little surplus ammo to work with people began trying to load standard dimension 6.5mm projectiles which in reality wrre slightly smaller than the 6.5mm projectiles used by the Italians leading to the bullet not contacting the rifling properly causing poor accuracy. In reality a Italian Carcano using surplus ammo or a proper sized 6.5mm(Italian spec) projectile are very accurate, flat shooting rifles.

But then consider that a mail order gun couldn’t be delivered to an address with a different name on it. They wouldn’t deliver a gun to the Oswald residence that didn’t have his real name. Also the gun in pictures don’t match the alleged gun used. Also not just the accuracy but the speed in which 3 rounds were fired with a bolt action rifle. Then you have 100 other things that are highly suspect. Even if Oswald had anything to do with it, he wasn’t alone and he was placed there by his handlers in the government.

It wasn't really a parade, it was a drive between locations where JFK was to have dinner and give a speech. @@Gooddealsgalore No, it wouldn't make any sense for it to be Menendez. He wasn't even mentioned in the first game, I don't think. Menendez was first appeared in the very first mission of Black Ops 2. Besides, Menendez wanted to dismantle the Western powers, sure, but he wouldn't straight up assassinate the President in the open. His style was more of a guerrilla warfare type; use the enemies weapons against them. Dragovitch, Kravchenko, and Steiner used Mason as a sleeper cell to get him to kill Kennedy. Hence, when Secretary McNamara invites Mason to meet with President Kennedy, Mason has visions of putting a gun to JKF's head, before snapping out of it. And it's why Dragovitch's last words were "Tried?". Thankfully, Captain Reznov reverse brainwashed Mason into believing that those three "men" must die for the actions they have caused. Hence why Mason kept seeing Reznov with him on his missions; he was brainwashed into thinking he and Reznov would not rest until those three died, and is why Reznov and all the numbers disappeared after Woods kills Kravchenko in Black Ops 2.

Funny fact: When the leadership of the USSR found out that Kennedy was assassinated, they immediately started freaking out thinking one of their agents killed him. They were momentarily relaxed when they found out it was an American, but then started freaking out again when they found out that Oswald used to live in Russia and was at the Russian embassy in Mexico, weeks before the Assassination. And extra information: According to the house select committee of Assassinations formed in 1976, that was created to investigate the assassinations of JFK and Martin Luther King Jr. They discovered that the CIA had PURPOSEFULLY withheld information from the Warren commission during their investigation, and they concluded that the assassination of JFK was the result of a conspiracy theory and not that Oswald and Ruby were acting alone.

"Back and to the left" is a BS explanation perpetuated by the film JFK. It has no basis in ballistic science and is easily disprovable. Kennedy's head exploded from the second bullet, and the exit wound so severe the force of ejecting matter throws his head backwards.

Author Tom Clancy had this to say about the Warren Commission: "There was one thing about the assassination that troubled me. It was the question of the rifle. As the Warren Commission noted, the telescopic sight on the Model 1891 Mannlicher-Carcano 6.5 x 52mm rifle was not properly sighted in and had to be adjusted before firearms tests could be conducted. The mount for the telescopic sight is of the military type. It is offset high and to the left of the axis of the iron sights (that is, the simple metallic notch-and-post sights that you find on the single-shot .22 many of us learned to use at Boy Scout camp), allowing the shooter to use either. Oswald never used the scope. He didn't have to. The engagement range to his target was roughly 50 yards. The target was moving slowly away from him, with a slight left-to-right-drift. It was, in fact, an easy shot, all the more so because Oswald was firing from a rest (that is, the front end of the rifle was probably resting on a solid object-a box of books most likely, instead of a standing, unsupported off-hand shot. I too am a shooter, it was an easy shot (hitting a half-silhouette target at 50 yards is easy enough with a pistol).

Good post. A scope out of alignment is easily explained. The scope may have been properly sighted in at the time it was fired at Kennedy but the subsequent actions and handling of the weapon in the aftermath may have resulted in it being knocked out of alignment. I know from experience how easily a scope can go from proper "zero" to waaay out there by inadvertant bumps and mishandling. I also purchased a carcano in the early 90's. Using open sights it was fairly accurate at 100 yards. Equal to a marlin lever action 30-30.

It's difficult to guess how good a shooter you need to be to place these shots. Based on the historical footage I have seen it looks "difficult" not only because of the distance (my guess would be rather 100 yards) but also because the motorcade is moving. Bottom line: It would be very interesting to see the score of different shooters with same type of equipment (firearm, telescopic sight, munition) from the same place (day of the year, wether condition) on same sized target driving by. If I get it right he had to reload the gun twice and every time you loose the target. I have a hard time to believe that he managed to do it at least not with a good dose of chance. Not speaking of the head movement by JFK.
