We've spent Thanksgivings with them before past games and it is always fun and love. Here in CA, we have other former Utes on our street, and our neighbors are BYU. (Pretty surprising on a one block street in CA.) We have our Ute flag hanging, they BYU. We razz each other during the season a little in good fun but all of us get along great. Great neighbors. I think it’s a good thing the 2021 expansion teams (excepting Houston who are clearly rebuilding) are doing well. UCF BYU and Cincy who if not the monumental collapse v Pitt are inches away from Being 4-0 too. Everybody was saying the 2021 teams were the weak link. Not anymore.

BYU has allowed 13 points per game over 4 games. Where did this defense come from. Some of the teams BYU has played aren’t very good but SMU just scored 66 points on TCU and only 15 on BYU. All of those points were field goals. Kansas state only scored 9 points all of which were field goals. Hope they can keep it up.

Utah needs to play defense for 4 quarters. I think oklahoma state had some longer drives in the fourth and wore our defense down a bit. We may have gotten relaxed towards the last 8 min. I still feel positive for UCF winning next week at home against Colorado and even going into the swamp in game 5 and upsetting the Gators. KJ went into the swamp last year with Arkansas and won. That experience is valuable. The Cincinnati Game is the one I'm unsure of. It is considered a Rivalry game and is usually a close game. We won last year on the road 28-26 and at home 25-21 in 2022. The previous 2 matchup we lost 36-33 (at home) and 56-21 on the road. Rivalry games can be different. And Cincinnati is 3-1 and could have easily been 4-0. except for that 2 point loss to Pitt. I keep hearing how PITT is terrible from you and even on the CHARGE ON podcast. In the end they are 4-0 and seeing how James Madison spanked North Carolina they may be 5-0 . If we can be 6-0 at that point I will be happy. Then we have to play Iowa State and BYU I still am a little unsure seeing how TCU played, this week where we are at especially the Defense and Special teams. The same thing happened to UCF after the Baylor game last year in the only Blowout of the season with Kansas. I agree with you on the offense. ARODs play calling is very questionable. Very predictable. He gets into these patterns where I can start calling what play he’s about to run. But then Utah is having a special year--not a normal one. Still, y'all beat 2 good teams and 2 nobodies. So did we. Y'all beat #14--we beat #14 by a bigger margin. The biggest difference is that everybody knew Utah was good this year, but many experts only predicted BYU to get 3 wins all season, predicting we'd be 2-2 now, not undefeated, and keeping both K-State and SMU without a single touchdown (just to have SMU drop 66 points on TCU the very next week. They don't suck.) We did that without years of Power Five money, attention, and recruiting power. Just imagine what we'll be in a few years, when we've had time to catch up! Note that Utah's defensive coordinator and BYU's defensive coordinator both trained under Kyle Whittingham. Their defenses are very similar, although the personnel vary. When they play each other it will be a great defensive battle.

Ummm, dude… historically BYU and Arizona have played 25 times. Each team has won 12 games and tied once. 10 of Arizona’s 12 wins vs BYU came before 1976. Since after 1975, BYU has won 6 of 8 games including the last 3 straight.
