You know, sometimes some error codes are because it's reading more air pull of the new turbo, like a leak of more air, and some others are because now all seems to work better, but that's over the capacity of a stock scirocco.

i have the 290rs hybrid turbo. EPC light would come on and only fix was to put a washer where both screw holes would be to shim it. I'd give that a go if anything else fails.

@@Em_Ligman also, check the wastegate flap. It shouldn't move at all when the car is off. I saw a video where some dude bent the flap a bit to get it to close properly. I'll have to check. Only thing with that is, if you bend it too much it'll cause over boost code.

We struggled with the actuator for like a whole week on our 1.2 is20 conversation 😹one small turn and the voltage goes above the upper stop 😹

The exact same thing happened to the turbo of my 1.8t. I bought it cheap and broken with no boost and I was quite happy the repair was that easy.

We could do a DSG swap, but I do love it being a manual, plus we’ll hopefully map in a no-lift-shift to stay on boost in-between gear shifts. There’s a small chance that if I have the MQ200 gearbox in this car, we might need to upgrade it to the MQ250.

Yes and no. I think for the 1/4 mile drag strip runs and maybe even the 100-200kph times, the DSG could be the way to go and might get me better times. But the manual is so much fun and I think we’ll try map in a no-lift-shift to stay on boost in between gear changes 😎

Nice vids but insurance must be a killer with all the mods if your putting that much money into it your best off making sure it’s dialled in correctly and me personally I would be going to somewhere reputable that has a dyno at the very least

My insurance is actually the cheapest it’s ever been this year since I done all these mods! It is a 1.4 TSI and I’m 24 years old now. It’s cheap AF to insure

Use the original turbos actuator just make the shaft adjustable. And your error code P227900 is a false positive. Have the tuner delete it. Obviously 1st look for a leak. 99% sure you wont find 1. Ive.had the same on the MED17.5.25 and 21 ECUs

This new actuator seems spot on, but needs the voltage calibrating properly! We’ve made a slight modification to the mounting bracket - which I’ll show in the next video. Just gotta get the voltage right 🫡

Poor engine instead of being in something like a motorcycle with this size, it has to pull over a ton vehicle and be stuffed with ''steroids' :D But on the side, this is a great business strategy install parts that you know will fail, so you can sell it again and again and make more money! Too bad it's us the customers that have to pay the price!

Take the cheap arse dv off and put the stock one for that turbo on and a good few of your problems will go away 😉

@@Em_Ligman if that’s an is20/38 etc turbo they don’t like dv’s speak to any reputable ea888 tuner. Not saying it’s gonna fix all your problems but it won’t be helping matters
