Here's my rant if you are interested: 1. Horrible communications....wait days on end for them to reply 2. ordered 2 lenses and 15 pro max case. lenses arrived but case delayed. 3. case finally arrived after 2 1/2 months of waiting. 4. lens mount inside case is NOT metal as they say on website, it's plastic!! 5. 60mm lens will NOT work with Portrait mode, it does NOT save depth data at all 6. NOT SHARP. not even close to the native iphone lenses. In short, I threw away $300 on 2 lenses and case. Very disappointed.🤬🤬🤬

These people who review this brand should know that hundreds, maybe even thousands, of people got scammed out of their products. Never to receive shift cams products and have yet to have you waiting up to a year or more. Especially if you got a discount or full package. 90% of people have yet to receive the product. Terrible company. Please stop promoting this company. Don't people me search it. Don't represent them anymore.

Was really excited to get these lenses, but ended up canceling after they were delayed for 2 months with no updates or communication. May want to take a look around at what's going on with them and other content creators.... Went with Sandmarc and got my lenses in a few days.

They did recently give me a shipment update. They said they've now shipped 74% of orders and working hard to expedite remaining ones before the end of the year. Delays are never fun.. Hopefully it can be avoided in future! ✌🏻

Another great review Jack. I have an off the wall question. I’m looking for a case that would let me use the MagSafe on the back of the case to attach a wallet with a Samsung SSD inside - and still be able to attach a VND filter to the Apple lenses - no accessory lens, just a VND filter over the standard lenses. Do you think this case will let me use both at the same time? Thanks for any advice you can offer!

So tried I attaching the Filter + Mobile Adapter at 10:59 to see if i could fit anything else on the back and there's definitely space for a slim SSD as well but I don't know of any MagSafe clamps out there yet that you could hold it in place 🤔 I wonder if heat from the phone could affect the SSD if recording for a long time though.. But cool idea! So glad we can finally record to SSD! ✌🏻

I'd be very wary of ordering from this company. If you look around, there are many people who placed orders months ago and have yet to receive the orders (although our credit cards were charged immediately). They claim the free iPhone case is the issue, but that has held up my $360 order for three months? And even though they said they would ship them separately, I'm still waiting. I did order the UltraLens 16mm with iPhone13 case and mount back mid-August 2023 and received it after 6 weeks. I can't say I was that impressed. Very little difference in image quality, and the lens is more finicky. I've heard the kickstarter was even worse with people who bought in, then saw other get their product months before they did. Buyer beware!

Since I made my order I've had a lot of problems. Their support system failed to email me when there was a problem with my address, then they took over a week to ever reply to me when I sent them an update on what address to use. They only replied when I asked them to cancel my order, saying it was already sent. Overall, I will never order directly from them again, that's for sure. I would suggest to anyone to only order these if they can find them on Amazon. Maybe the products are good, but the experience of ordering from the website or Kickstarter is just awful, that's not really up for debate.

i got the 60mm and the 16mm. Both are NOT nearly as sharp as the native iphone lenses. Very irritated. And don't get me started on their customer service....saying it's awful is an understatement

Quality vid for cool product kit, Jack. Labels on case clips a nice touch. Audio differs from your usual - not as clear, some reverb. Fine butterfly pics, and clever ironic closeup of conventional camera PASM dial.😊 I wonder if this package is a bridge to or from conventional gear. All we need are protective lens caps - available? Don’t recall if you’ve done a smartphone lens cover review, but recently saw an item about such products. Might be worth a Google search. Cheers!

Cheers Paul! Thanks for the audio feedback, I did change how I usually process my audio, still working on it and tweaking! Yeah those Macros are definitely some of my favs to shoot with, so much detail to find and capture! Don't think they have any lens caps but that would be good to have for some extra protection when these are mounted. Thanks for watching! ✌🏻

@@JCKRGB I wish the lenses had a normal filter thread rather than the inverted style they use. I would love to put a hood on for both style and to help deal with those lens flares that are still visible in your production 60mm (despite the fact that they said it would be dealt with/improved after the prototypes)

Thanks for being honest about the image quality. It sounds from various reviews like maybe the original round of samples they sent out to creators were specifically selected because they were the best examples from a production process that gives mixed results. I already made an order with them, hopefully I have better luck with my 60mm than you did! This set seems perfect, but the company seems scammy as hell. Have you noticed that their website is full of images that obviously weren't taken with their lenses? What do you think of that?

I was about to make a similar comment. I have read elsewhere reviews by folks who finally received their kits and discovered that the quality was much less than original pro type lenses distributed to contentment creators to help shiftcam Kickstarter Campaign.

I received my 60mm telephoto lens, the problem of red flares is severe and hard to ignore. And it is completely not usable on 5X camera of my iPhone 15 pro Max. 😢 The 75mm macro lens works as it intends though.

@@toNtheGamer So sorry about the 5x camera! It really sucks that it doesn't work, considering that in the past the 60mm was a very rare example of a teleconverter that worked with the 3x. I'm kind of glad I have the non-Max 15 Pro, though at the same time, your 5x lens is apparently WAY better than the 3x in every way, so just enjoy it's raw power I guess. Really too bad about the lens flare. I'm hoping it's not ruinous for indoor event portraiture, which is what I want the lens for. They really should offer a lens hood for it, or at least an adapter to a universal filter thread so we could add 3rd party ones!
