I definitely put the motor on backwards...lmao - I had recently taken apart my evolve board and the motor sticks out the back on that one. I was wondering why the brake on the boosted board was so dang powerful 🤔

If you ever do it again you should pass with the screwdriver on the side way more before you cut. The grains will go off the griptape and when you use your razor blade it will cut like butter. Also something i like to do after gripping my boards is to use a hairdryer all around the sides of the board (with hot air). And one last tip is you could use some of the grip tape you cut away to grind all the sides of the board so the grip is smoother and has less chance to come off. For your first grip job you did actually verry good tho ! I have gripped at least a dozen of boards so these tips are all from my experience. Great vid as always!

Cameron Bennett 1 it could’ve been an accident 2 if it was on purpose if you criss cross the cables it flips it so backwards would be forewords (essentially making his work as normal)

However, the handling of the board will be severely affected - reverse kingpin trucks (like those used on boostedboards and most other longboards) are designed to be used with the kingpin facing to the front and back of the board (thus enabling board to lean, carve and turn as intended). I believe he did this because he was struggling to bolt back the truck without first removing the truck hanger as one should.

hey man just letting you know, there's a difference between the orange and purple in the softness of the wheel. The purple is harder which makes the ride slightly rougher but it's all up to preference.

the hardness does not depend on the color! Hardness is rated a (ex 78a orange, 85a purple or vice versa)

@@rockker2234 manufacturers will not force you to get a specific color to get a specific hardness or smoothness. All types of wheels are made in different hardness level in different colors and sizes. Preference is the key here. What you re saying is probably respected by a few manufacturers only.

For the gaps in the wrap on the bottom you could try using some sharpie. Could you also get some black rubber washers to go on the outside of the wheels to cover the green bit, will need some small metal washers to go by the bearings and bolt though but with the rubber it will flex to match the curve of the wheel. If your feeling super hardcore too you could replace all the horrible green leds with purple ones, and maybe swap the red ones for pink.

You could cut thin slices from the extra pieces they sent to fill in the gaps on the middle for the stickers!

The board is designed with small gaps between the motor and the deck and the battery and the deck so it can flex and absorb shock better. The skin could be designed to not sit flush against the battery and motor to avoid peeling when the board is flexing back and fourth.

The rear wheels don’t require any special attention? The rear replacement wheels on Boosted’s website have a black adapter for the belt drive. Did you just take them off the old wheels and install them on the purple ones? Board looks cool!

iTwe4kz Nice vid! For proper performance of the reverse kingpin trucks of your board, try to bolt the back truck with the kingpin facing outward (i.e. towards the tail). This is easier to accomplish if you first remove the truck hanger, then bolt on the baseplate to the board. Saludos
