I love watching new videos of Mikey. He is sooooo F'ing good. I also love how humble he is in winning. Great stuff.

Mikey's attacks are relentless. Huge respect for Almarwai surviving that barrage of leg attacks
@EPATZ9 ай бұрын
Mikey is just so damn technical. That back control was crazy. He went from attacking turtle, to one hook, to two hooks with an arm trapped, to body triangle with the arm trapped on bottom side, and then to the finish all in less than 40 seconds. Such an amazing display of technical dominance.

I'm not into BJJ, but I'm into Mikey. He's just different LOL.

About 8 and 1/2 minutes of Mikey going full boa constrictor. BJJ has changed a lot, and it looks complicated.
@kaelen9906 Жыл бұрын
if you watch his instructional its even more complicated than it looks lmao he does everything based on weight distribution and he studies every single counter an opponent can possibly do and how to counter it lol

I’ve trained BJJ since the 90s and have watched Mikey’s instructionals and both your comments are correct.

In addition to his technical skills, strength and sportsmanship, Mikey's conditioning is unreal,. Halfway into the fight, Almarwai is breathing heavily with his mouth open, Mikey is breathing as if he's taking a leisurely walk.

@tommym32110 ай бұрын
I train BJJ almost every day, and have done so for 12 years, and even I sometimes have a hard time watching matches all the way through - regardless of the year. It’s just not a great spectator sport.

And also, I am way to goddamn old to be fighting leg attacks and heel hooks like that.

My leg feel hurt just watching no one will come to this kimd of position in real fight no sportmanship either, just to be cruel enough to break the knees or ankles
@JamyDMusic Жыл бұрын
This is Jiu Jitsu, a sport, not street fighting. If you understood the sport more I think your opinion would change, it is very intricate but just looks like a couple of people rolling around on the floor on the surface. Also compared to MMA, Boxing, even American Football this sport is much safer and won't give you brain damage by 30 yr old.
@lohascha462 Жыл бұрын
@@JamyDMusic I learn also from no gi bjj, and that's what I have concluded with leg locks
@halokhartus8620 Жыл бұрын
ok but i can say there is no sportmanship in boxing, you just want to do pernament damage on someones brain, its all about different points of view
@christy-q8j11 ай бұрын
actually if youre on the ground and you enter into single leg x its a great position becuase your opponent cant strike you. then you take then down and destroy their ligaments. also its up to the other person to tap, not up to mikey to stop. grow up and snowflake. learn to fight.
