The clip at 12:23 was a fail, but was completely outside of the Snake's control. The inkling wasn't at utilt kill % so sticky bthrow detonate is the next best thing as it covers spotdodge and shield after the dthrow. However, sticky bthrow has a 10% chance of the c4 falling off which is what happened to that Snake. It is possible for the Snake to react to it falling off, but it's hard.
