I always thought that Jeff George had a million dollar arm and a 10 cent head. I increased it some due to inflation.

What am I missing? It was a 50 yard throw over the deep middle. A great throw but Moss was wide open and the throw itself was pretty routine?

@CJ I guess I just don't see it. Looks pretty Normal to me albeit a great throw but it's nothing I don't see from Mahomes, Rodgers, Herbert, Allen, etc every single week. Or Marino, Elway, Favre, etc back in the day.

@@DavidMartinez-pg3zq George didn't step into this throw AT ALL, barely pushed off his back foot and still effortlessly tossed it 45 yards on a rope. All the guys you mentioned have huge arms too, but they're at least stepping into the throw some to get this ball there. George's throwing motion looked like he should've been throwing a 10-yard checkdown.

@GIL Favor No. He made it to the playoffs twice. 1995 and 1999 and lost both times. Perhaps part of his undoing was that he was just on bad teams. He was on Indianapolis and Oakland for awhile when they both horrible and maybe he was just not that great of a quarterback/team leader, but he definitely had a cannon for an arm.

if he had any mobility... not even mahomes/jackson type, just aaron rodgers type... above average for a white guy type of speed, he would have been great.

Agreed, but Mahomes isn’t any more mobile than Aaron Rogers.
@jackbronson42423 жыл бұрын
@@blake7871 Hmm... Rodgers 10 years ago and Mahomes this season, I would agree. Mahomes was playing with an injured big toe most of the year. Sounds dumb, but if you ever tried to play with that, it can be a burden. It definitely slowed him down. He couldn't plant and cut like he normally does. He isn't nearly as fast as Jackson or even Watson, but he is definitely elusive and can find holes. My point is just... when I say mobile, I don't mean just speed, the elusiveness counts too, and Mahomes is one of the best at that.

@@jackbronson4242 it is better to be a pocket passer than it is to be a mobile qb. don't wanna focus your aim on being a running quarterback and then not know how to throw and read defenses once you're 30 in the pocket right?
@jackbronson42423 жыл бұрын
@@blacker5826 i don’t think either is better. It’s all about effectiveness and moving the chains. If you can be an A+ passer but a D in mobility you’re not going to be as effective. If you have a B+ arm and B+ mobility you may be more effective than the first guy I said. And I wasn’t knocking George, just saying he had the arm but was so slow. If he had the extra dimension to his game he would have been more than a journeyman
