I'd do blue dream shrimp. They go well with the light substrate, but don't pop too much. They can graze on the algae and the shrimplets like to hide in the holes of the dragon stone. Another option would be some scarlet badis(Dario dario). They are small, not too colourful and will swim more in the bottom, so they will actually use the pathways you built. One apistogramma male would also be possible, but it's too small for a pair.

I think some Dario dario would look incredible. Even some Tanichthys albonubes could do the job.

I like it alot. I have been interested lately in planted tanks but I dont have the time or resources to set up and maintain one, so I wondered if I could escape the whole tank with just moss! Your video gave me the green light to go ahead and give it a try. Thanks a lot. I have two goldfish, a plastic bonsai tree and white stone gravel, so the new moss scape adds perfectly to the feel I have going on. 😁

As long as it takes Marino moss balls to form, I really don't like ripping it apart. In nature Marino moss is beautiful, it grows in layers in the bottom of clear lakes in Japan and Iceland as beautiful balls. I would have liked this scape much better with java moss glued to the dragon stone and the Marimo moss balls layered on the bottom as found in nature. But that just me. The balls are very slow growing.

This is a super cool scape man. I have a moss ball in one my tanks that I squished and stretched out. I stuck it in a piece of wood and it looks pretty cool. I want to flatten one out and lay it out flat on the substrate as a kinda carpet. I think a small group of albino long fin danios would look good in this tank. It would add some simple elegance to a static scape.

Great video man! I've been looking for a way to make my moss balls look more like natural plant growth I love moss balls. there is so much cool stuff that you can do with them. And they're really the only plants I have ever used. I've just never been able to dedicate the time to other plants. I love moss balls just cause they are so low maintenance and yet you get the health benefits of a planted aquarium.

A pea puffer might have fun exploring the terrain in there, and you could add/remove pieces to keep them interested. I'm not sure about bettas + dragon stone, although a plakat type might work? Some form of tiger shrimp might look cool. A little group of nannostomus anduzei would catch some attention with their silvery bodies but wouldn't take away from the scape. Or, and I don't know much about these so I'd check their suitability, pom pom crabs.

Great videos, Liked and Subscribed from Chicago. If I may give you a little tip for adhesion. Aquarium silicon works really well for rocks and wood for three reasons. First it is easily removed or separated with a gentle tug if you want to remove or reposition it later. Second, it is flexible, which allows you to slightly reposition without the need to glue again. Notice I said slightly. Third, you now have the extra benefit to adhere things to the glass for a vertical dimension, and of course being able to remove it later if need be. The residue comes off glass with a razor blade. Actually number four is that it doesn't drip at all, and stays in place while you get into position. The only down side is the dry time is quite long in comparison.

I'd love to see what CPDs and espei rasbora or brigitte rasbora but I don't know how well the CPDs would do on their own I think they need a dither fish to bring them out more otherwise they'll hide a fair bit. Or something a little different like some endlers, they have some beautiful colour variations and they're nice and small! Really liked the setup I always enjoy your scapes, you're always doing something that a little different from everybody else and I really appreciate that.

I like it! Very unique look! I definitely think the marimo looks better than any more common moss would. I like how dense it is. My first thought for stocking was a betta, but I do think that would distract from the scape. If it were mine, I'd make it a shrimp tank! (To be fair though, I make all of my tanks shrimp tanks lmao.)

Endler livebearers and amano shrimp. The shrimp are a natural colour, and will blend in quite nice. The female endlers are basically brown-ish as well, so don't pop. The smaller males do look insanely nice, and really make a nice centerpiece colour, that adds to the aquasqape. Either that or some ricefish, which are also livebearers that look really good.

I like the hardscape layout, but I think the marimo would look a lot nicer if it wasn't so evenly dotted across everything. An asymmetric arrangement would look a lot more natural. As for stocking, shrimp would be my choice. Those little guys love moss balls.
