You’re getting the best and toughest of everything they changed. Wheels, tires, suspension, bumpers, body panels, all sorts of miscellaneous modifications. They all add up. Doing it yourself with the same parts you’ll end up around 25k, plus a LOT of labor and AEV’s profit margins. It’s not an unreasonable price.

Most viewers of your video are going to obsessive the price and rightfully so as that is insane. However in my opinion the real criminal issue with this truck and every AEV Prospector XL truck is the payload is embarrassingly low. 1313 lbs of payload is less than my midsize tacoma. You add two adults, a large dog and camping gear and you are less than 1k lbs payload. Now if you plan to tow standard 10k camper that means your tongue weight is 1K and you now have exceeded your limit. That's not counting putting anything in the bed like bed tent or camper shell or any of the overloading cool gear or ATV or motorcycles etc. I've had so many dealers and sellers on BAT & elsewhere say the truck can handle more. BS!!! if you exceed payload and you are in crash even if its single vehicle car vs deer or rollover crash your insurance won't cover it bc you exceeded vehicles capabilities ie payload. Now can you imagine if another vehicle is involved and there in injuries and you have to pay out medical expenses? Cool truck but Payload & Tow capacities are not something you should ever exceed even if you have a Cummins or Hemi engine as it isn't whether vehicle can handle it... its what Manufacture safely rates vehicle at. This is why you see TFL and other stories of vehicle frames bending or cracking bc dealers/salesmans oversell what vehicle really can handle.

@@davidporter7051 Just because it’s an AEV Prospector XL doesn’t mean it’s not a 2500. Your right in that it’s purpose is now more overland focused but it’s still a 2500. It just doesn’t have the capability that a standard 2500 would have as far as towing and hauling goes.

@@Drg24800 it's not a 2500. It's like a Power Wagon may have a 2500 badge but it's suspension is so soft it doesn't have 3/4 capability. The AEV using the hauling capacity for the extra gear
