I have a 2024 PW with Level 2. Love this truck! I’ve had it to the top of Lead Queen mountain in BC. I’m telling you this thing works well! Think about a Wrangler Rubicon with 392. The PW has all the Rubicon has plus heavy axles and a steering system that works. All factory warranty. Cost is about half what it would cost you to modify the Rubicon. All I’ve done is 35s and power steps. Beautiful truck.

I’ve owned both of these trucks this year. Shame on FCA to call the Rebel a Power Wagon. The Rebel is nothing more than a heavy duty work truck. It does not have the 2” lift that the Power Wagon has, nor does it have front lockers or quick disconnect sway bar. The Power Wagon is fun to drive and it’s what I currently own.

Agreed I own a 2022 level 2 and it is a great purpose built truck. The rebel should in no way be associated with the model power wagon. Two completely different vehicles. The only attractive feature the rebel has over the PW is the Cummins.

It’s very odd that Ram just refuses put 35’s on the PW.

Ram’s reasoning is that you get better articulation with the 33’s.

The Power Wagon has the Articulink suspension. I think its important to mention because even if you never disconnect the sway bar it still has far, far greater suspension articulation than the standard 3/4-ton Ram. And if you truly push the payload to the limit you might way to keep that sway bar connected to remain stable. The PW can handle loads way above what the payload figure says on the door jamb. You'll just want to not do things like disconnect the sway bar in those conditions though.

Power Wagon is a truck set up for off road in terms of suspension. So I’m terms of payload and towing it’s closer to a half ton, but with the power, heavier frame and solid axles of a 3/4 ton. So it’s more durable

Ben, I'd really like to see you evaluate the reliability of the trucks more so than what the knobs on the dash do. What I don't know is if the truck will actually work for years three to five of ownership as most of us don't trade in or up every year or two. Tell me how the 2021s are doing. Ask the shop mechanics. Ask long term owners. Otherwise, and forgive me, your videos are mostly commercials for the dealers.

I have a 2019 Power Wagon. It’s incredible for off roading as long as the trails are wide enough. To me, it’s a better as a work truck because with the lockers front and back I can tow hay and equipment across muddy and snow covered pastures. This year I bought a HD Rebel. That truck is a towing beast for having a gas engine, plus it does have some decent off road capabilities. If you’re looking for a dedicated off roader, you’re much better off with something much smaller.

I thought the Rebel is the most comfortable. Others who have written articles say the rebel is the most comfortable onroad. Well interesting real life take, thanks Ben.

I have the 2022 power wagon, best truck I’ve ever owned , my 4th ram truck , my dream truck if I was allowed to build would be the prospector with the red eye engine lol!

I've never really understood the point of the power wagon, it's a huge 3/4 ton truck but it can't really tow or haul anything heavy and it's got big tires, lift and a disconnecting sway bar but it's too big for 90% of most offroad trails.
@PeakDecline5 ай бұрын
The payload on the PW is low but the axles, frame, transmission, transfer case, etc, etc. are all still designed for the much greater payload a 3/4-ton truck is capable of handling. The "design purpose" is off-road based work truck, basically (now... used that way? rarely). And if you're not afraid of some pinstripping it'll go down a lot more trails than you might expect. Throughout a lot of the US most "trails" are there because of logging, mining, and other industrial purposes. They were cleared to fit this size of truck. Most people just don't have the desire to put trucks through the damage you'll sustain though.

Do you verify the tire pressures in these comparisons before you make the videos? I've seen vehicles come of the trailers with max tire pressure for the tire, not what's rated on the door panel. Drove a RAM 3500 diesel with Nine (9) miles, had 90psi in all 4 tires.
