@13:35 If you already have a recerulation pump instead of a timer use a smart switch that works with Google Home. Then you can create a custom command(in Google Home) that turns the pump on for just the right amount of time to pull fresh hot water into the line.

The door stud is such a cool thing. I replaced all the doors in my house a couple years ago and trying to get a dozen doors, even lightweight crappy ones like i have, level and perfect was awful. However, $300-400 is a joke for what is essentially 4 casters and a piece of steel with four bends in it

Hot water recirculation is always best done via presence sensors in the bathrooms and over the kitchen sink - if anyone comes near any sink or basin, the recirculation pump kicks in just in case they want to use the hot tap.

Ron Paulk (thepaulkworkbench) had a similar work trailer years ago, except his had a roof over it.
@kadmow
@kadmow Жыл бұрын
- a cargo trailer with fold out - awning - sides would be very simple (no corner posts). - the claim "doing for 30 years" - likely a stretch on the facts maybe doing some kind of work trailers for 30 years - modern bells & whistles, not so much, builders back then still went to work with a hammer, nailbag, tape/rule and handsaw - and a bevy of corded tools (individual or boss supplied ??). ok, air compressors were normalised too (on the boss's truck).

I like the trailer, but i’d want it in a closed trailer or sprinter like workvan, so if its raining, i’m dry. Cool idea tho.

Why not make the trailer have gull wings over the tools and the fold open or remove entirely. Setup time becomes more a matter of seconds.

That would make it much more ideal in inclimate weather and evenings and night. I think the trailer is a great idea and setup just needs a few more tweaks or options

Hey Matt on the subject of Tankless water heaters, there is electric but more efficient is gas. I've been looking into induction stove top which better than gas. So back to the tankless hot water heater why can't someone make an TANKLESS INDUCTION HOT WATER HEATER? Or it's in the planning stages?

saying - that hot water recirculation "safes energy" seems counter intuitive, such a first world problem. (Obvs I am not familiar with typical USA systems of high end luxury - tankless heaters are not the norm in my experience.) Yes in winter - any hot water inside the insulated building envelope merely shares heating load - and instant heat, anywhere is really nice - why not, just have a heat exchanger off the central heat hot water circulation (or you don't do central hot water, you do central air, how inefficient, lol - jk) - for winter... In summer, circing hot water through the plumbing constantly has to use more energy than the "occasional - on and off 3-6 times a day (at "bath times) than running prepping the line a few times from a central HWS. People who "must" wash hands with hot water, are pampered first worlders - how a future collapse will "rock their paradigm" - lol.. (a grey-water diverter makes a lot of sense if water wastage is a concern - many ppl will use the few gallons "wasted" watering the front lawn.) An instantaneous heater to "peak" the temp - with a storage unit for central heating is probably the most efficient "instant hot" system. Expectations are a beast - $36k for a "starter staircase' seems like I should just live in my truck... Or go for a local fabricator, rather tthan a national chain paying migrants of dubious documentation "living" wages and profiteering off the backs of hardworking middleclass (aspirational a$$ Sn!ffers) people - or am I seeing tings wrong here ?? (PS, I could spend $$$ coin on a posh staircase, or I could fund needful surgeries for underprivileged people - I do need a staircase to my back porch, in the future - looking at options - hopefully not $40k worth.).

Circulating hot water isn't saving energy! The more water you pump through and heat the more energy it pulls. Don't know why he would make claims like that 15:00

Yeah, you gotta help fund ole boy's $80k pickup he only takes to the mall and grocery 🤣. I custom ordered a single stringer style from china, glass railings, with the wood end cap and underlit stair treads for $8k. They draw it all up in CAD as custom design for you too before you order. In America, you can't get a contractor to call you back while I touch base with the chinese supplier every night if I need.
